The 2.5 weeks holiday stroke job hunting in KL

Renown to everybody yes time indeed flies quick la time waits for no woman la it's true the 2.5 weeks gone pretty fast and I am not denying the fact that I am pretty upset to leave KL tomorrow but also excited to visit the place where I grew up meeting my families soon the slow mo laid back life in Sarikei.

So for the past 2.5 weeks, we went to quite a number of places and had lots of food. Went to Times Square to have our hair cut, the Curve to meet my ex-coursemates, Sunway Lagoon, pasar malam in SS2, Sungei Wang, Low Yat Plaza, Genting, Jusco & Tesco in Cheras. Not to forget, we've been eating a lot of foods and because we're not burning them effectively, we have gained a lot of weights in just 2 weeks. Pretty shocking, isn't it?

While we are hard at enjoying ourselves here, I myself am also hard at hunting for jobs. I have been to interviews but still awaiting for responses. Why is it so hard to look for a position that I really want? Is it because I don't shine enough? Or am I requesting too much? or is it because I look ugly doesn't look like the person as mentioned in my CV?

I am pretty down now. Probably it's because I couldn't secure a job. I feel like I want to bump me head to the wall with the strongest moment and fell down and get to sleep or punching into the mirror breaking the mirror into pieces but I don't dare to do that as I don't want to end up with bandages then screaming for pain then having people looking pity at me then interviewers seeing me weird with the bandages wondering like I went to clubbing then got into fight with another pretty sexy lady trying to flirting with a handsome guy or I hurt myself by falling down the stairs or when I scold AJ with the cloth hanger or a belt =.= Ceh...sounds like I am an evil mother. Ridiculous!!!

I know it's just matter of time. I have to be patient and wait and see. I must wait!!!! NO MATTER WHAT!

Patience....

Patience...

Patience..

until when????? Sampai bila? 到什么时候? aiseh...my Chinese is still looking good. easy la...using malay --> english --> chinese translation on the web la...so freaking easy...haha...

haha...I'm good good....honestly. I am just being the usual complainant. I will be optimisic and I know the best has yet to come. Enjoying the long holiday and the food in Malaysia like I never had it before...Woohoo!!!

Last Wednesday in Plymouth

This is my last post for the "Last". 7 post in a row for a week. I felt quite OK to be honest but I need to be free enough to allocate time to blog. Sometimes I felt I have nothing to blog about. But anyway, I did it successfully on the account of I'm not working having some spare time to blog. Hope you're not too bored, everyone...

Hubby and I are soooo addicted with the Nintendo DS Brain Training game lately. We're competing against each other indirectly! and guess what? I managed to sharpen my brain into 28 years which is good while hubby deteriotes to 40. muahaha...but I think you have to be sharp to play the game in order to get good result. It's a good brain training though. I enjoyed the maths part & Sudoku. I can imagine that we'll be rowing over the DS in the plane tomorrow.

Yeap tonight is my last night in Plymouth. To be honest, I thought I would be settling here in Plymouth for good. It never came across to my mind that I’ll be moving back home. I first came here with hubby in 2003 as a student and I had to learn English from the beginning as the accent here is different. Now, not only 2 but 3 of us are moving back to Malaysia starting fresh.

Anyway, there’s one last thing I want to do before leaving UK. A delicious meal in Misato yum yum...the renowned Japanese restaurant in London China Town. The meals there are always very lovely and there are always long queues at peak hours. We would never miss it whenever we go to London. And we’re going to go there for a late lunch before heading to the airport tomorrow. Yipee!!!

Then to Convent Garden which I always missed at each London visits. I heard that it is famous with funny performances all day and I’m looking forward to watching it myself. with AJ and hubby.

T____T

Bye bye friends

Bye bye WMS

Bye bye Plymouth

Bye bye London

Bye bye England

I miss you all and hope to see you soon....

Malaysia here I come! Here we come. The new challenging risky yet exciting life begins...

First a long haul flight. T.T

Mama do uh oh uh oh

Move over, Lady Alice Gaga, Jimmy J Chow, Conny Lee Hom, Zatil Swift, Zura Spears, Mui mui Perry...I now proclaimed to you that I’m so into this young teenager. So I’m now the Marge P Lott. Marge P Lott. Marge P Lott. Marge P Lott. Haha...I love her voice to begin with. She’s sooo good when she sang the famous Apologise song and her debut song. In fact, I prefer her than Lily Allen or Leona Lewis. She’s set to be the next pop princess – I’m talking wayyyy better than Britney Spears.

Being a singer and songwriter all by herself and student at the same time at this young age – 18 no joke 18!!! is really awesome! Salute to her, honest! She also has her own looks so I’m looking good on her unless she ended up to be come like Amy Winehouse or Britney. Oh well...not going to that far now.

I love her debut song – mama do uh oh uh oh

And also What u do

And her acoustic versions....she indeed has a good voice...

She’s coming down to Plymouth at a joint concert with other singers on 1st July. And it does makes me wanna go too. If I’m going, this will be my first time I go to concert. But am still thinking whether I should go or not as I’m not like the other crazy fans who would go shouting, crying, flocking to the front just to get a real skin touch or fighting for his/her sweaty clothes. Yucks...I would be really happy if i could get an autograph from her personally on her album. Sound cool, right? In my dream neh neh...haha...

I think I would much prefer to listen to her music through radio or my computer. Save me lotsa of time and money. Still...am loving Pixie Lott now. Youtube to listen to the rest of her songs. I’m sure you’ll love them as much as I do.

Go Pixie! Go Pixie! Go Pixie! Woohooo!

***

Anyway on a complete unrelated note, I would like to share with you a shocking news today. I was listening to radio today and the news broadcaster went like this “A woman who works in a Plymouth nursery has been arrested yesterday for making and distributing child photonographic images. Images were found taken at where she works showing the nursery logo on her uniform.”

That’s when I was getting worried. Nursery? Which nursery? My heart went beating really really fast as you know AJ goes to nursery since he was 8 months old. What if a photo of his naked body was really taken without our consent and wer distributed to those filthy sex child abuser. God will only knows who has seen the images and what has been done with it. This is sooo utterly disgusting. I would be very very ver utterly flabbergasted as I totally put my trust on the nursery carer to take good care of AJ. They are just like second mother to AJ and AJ loves to go to nursery so much.

Rest assured it’s not a nursery that AJ went. Phew~~~ But my heart goes to those children whom had the images taken for the last 2 to 3 years. Now that the woman is arrested and has been charged for her offences, I’m hoping she will get a really long jail sentence for what she has done and deserves them what. Here’s the link to follow the news. Ptuik.

Quick update

While most Chinese over the world having dumplings to celebrate this festive day, I went to work, so did hubby and AJ. We didn't know today it is the day until I've received wishes from my friends. Thanks to them..haha...We didn't have any dumplings either. T.T Not to worry...

At the meantime, today is the last day AJ goes to Kings nursery. He's changing to a new nursery nearer to where we live. The change is necessary for better mobility as we have sold our car about two weeks ago. It is also the last day Rudy sent and get AJ to the day care. Thanks Rudy for his huge help.

To be honest, I think AJ will missed the nursery. I've starting to miss it myself already. He really enjoyed his time there from just looking at the photos and learnt a lot from there too. He's going to a new nursery - Bambinos starting on Monday with hubby sending him off in the morning and me picking him up at the evening. Woot! can't wait...

He'll having a few hours settling in session tomorrow and I'm hoping that he'll be doing fine. Expect some tears from him. Can't escape! *wishing he won't though

Speaking of tomorrow. 3 years tomorrow. excatly 3 years I've since worked with my company. Gosh...time flies quick. Hubby is using bus to reach his office from tomorrow. Poor him has to wake up earlier as he has to walk for about 15 mins to the bus stop. A good exercise for him though.

I know this may not be new to you guys but I just watched the oscar award winning movie - the Slumdog millionaire. In short, I enjoyed it. Probably because I myself is a fan of Hindi movies. Weird, huh! I used to spend my afternoon watching TV Hindi movies and I'm a fan of Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Amitabh Bachan.

Right, back to the movie. I love the youngest Salim. He's so cute and I can't believed he actually jumped down through the toilet hole into a pool of dirty smelly shitty just to get an autograph from Amitabh Bachan. That's so unbelieveable. Salim is not clever nor educated but the life he had since childhood had earn him the winner in the who wants to be a millionaire Hindi version. He went through a really cruel and tough life but I'm satisfied with the happy ending. If you haven't watch it, you should watched it.

Guess what! I scaled myself today and was shocked to know that I've gained 3 kg threeeee kg since my holiday. I know I've talked about going back to the diet regime but I didn't managed to stop my cravings. No one to blame in this case as this is all my fault. But I'm blaming on my nosy hands and mouth with the persuasion from my brain. So, I'm now on strict diet. No more ice-cream, less meaty, lotsa vege & fruits even though I'm so sick with them. But will have ice-cream once or twice a month to pamper myself at this summer before it ends around August/September. I'm soooooooooooooooo serioussssssssssssss!!!!!

Weather forecastor predicts that it's going to be a lovely sunny weekend so I can't wait to enjoy the lovely weekend. No definite plan though. Most probably case would be a visit to Aj's playground, to the town for some walk...etc etc....

Short & sad

Hubby driving Sporty for the last time
He's handsome, isn't he?

We truly deeply miss Sporty now. T.T We went to Somerset this morning to deliver Sporty to his new owner. In fact, I felt kinda emo from the moment we left him there. Because he had served us well good and bad every single there. Whenever we need him, he's just there, right in front of us ready to give his full support. A true gentleman.

But I'm sure he's in good hands. When we arrived at this new bloke's posh house, the bloke has already showed us the new set of 18" inch tyre which I believed he's going to get his hands dirty right after we left. Bless Sporty. He'll be a real~ Sporty soon. Lucky Sporty.

On our journey there, we saw something interesting.
At the services in the middle of the journey
We saw Proton services centre..awesome~~

Right then, back to yesterday. A very interesting day indeed. I just remembered that I had a Luna colour pencil which I bought it at Malaysia years ago =.= So, the clever me put them to use for...
painting...da da da...
dee dee dee...
ta-dah...

Then we went to Tesco & Matalan and we found something interesting
A-Ka-Za-Ka-Boom, I'm AJ Potter
woosh...woosh...
AJ, the pirate
love or life, you choose

and we bought home...
AJ's wellington boot - for use when he's in muddy area at the nursery
he look so cute in it
AJ loves it too. haha...

So long Sporty

This time I’m going straight to the point rather than going in circles in a bid for the guessing. Reason being I’m happy and couldn’t wait to share it with all of you but felt saddened at the mean time.

Right. Where was I? Consider me lucky. Yes, I put an advert on ebay last week. Exactly last week today. The advert promotes Sporty, a name I’ve given to our car – car for sale. So, I uploaded a few photos. Put some reserve price and descriptions to make the advert a bit more interesting. I’ve also make the starting bid from £0.99 to attract more buyers.

Several bidders make some offer but to my dismay, the price is too low and it didn’t even meet our reserve price. I went to bed even before the auction ends because I was sleepy and I knew it won’t meet to our reserve price anyway so why should I be bothered. T.T

Then out of random, I went to ebay again this morning to check what the price ended. I was right. Fortunately, I went to bed early. The price did not met. But I received an email from one of the bidder offering a price very near to our asking price! I was so excited. Wahaha...of coz I said yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

So, arrangement has been made for the test drive. The bidder drove down all the way from Somerset with his wife and son. It’s a gift to the son. That’s so sweet. I am so jealous neh~~~. I wish my parent would buy me a car also. T.T

They like the car..well the young lad likes the car. It’s a deal then! Now no more worries with the car insurance which due on the 19th, so gonna saves us some money, no more car loan commitment...hooray, no more car tax, no more petrol...yeah! £££ saved. Muahaha....

There are still some papers needed to be done so we still have the car for the next few days at the least. Sporty has been with us for the last 2 years and indeed serves us well. I still remember we had sporty a week before we found that I was expecting AJ. So, sporty took really good care of AJ by keeping him from the horrible weather. Even Alice was the only family member got the chance to meet Sporty herself. So lucky neh, Alice.

Well done, Sporty. We gonna miss you. I’m sorry that we have to lose you. You’re always biu-tee-pool (Alice’s) in our heart, Sporty. I’m sure your new keeper will take good care of you as I can see he loves you the moment he laid eyes on you. Love ya. Muacks...

Beware! Swine Influenza Pandemic

Swine flu, be it from a pig or a human, as you may or may not aware that swine flu, like many other deadly-currently-incurable diseases for example SARS or JE, is spreading faster than we thought. Gosh, I finished it in one sentence.

I’m starting to get worried indeed and am very alerted with the outbreak everyday by plugging my ear into radio at work to get myself updated all the time, paying no attention to my colleagues conversations unless they are talking directly to me and of course doing my work at the same time :P - especially on any news related to this new virus. And again, one sentence, one full stop. =.=

There are already a few infected people who have been advised to stay at home for at least week, in other words QUARANTINE. A couple have been tested positive for Swine flu in Scotland. Another 12 year old girl has been confirmed with the same illness as well. :-( My heart goes to them. This reminds me of SARS. And with the statement from the health official that 40% of Britons could be infected if this pandemic continues till winter, is showing how serious the pandemic is and is at nerve-racking state.

The authorities also stated that no jab is currently available and effectively can cure this flu-like symptom. At least 6 months researches would be needed to get a first batch done which means thousands have been infected and died waiting for the jab. Oh! How “marvellous” is that? I am not blaming anyone here and there’s absolutely no one to be held responsible but I am really hoping this pandemic will be over soon – vanished from tomorrow or from the next minute! Next second! I demand you to be gone forever! Wish I have that mighty power!

Anyway, watch out everyone, especially the young ones, as swine flu is blind and still is spreading across the globe. Even cute ma called to ask if I have any clue about this today. Try not to go out unless it’s necessary. As you don’t know who you are meeting outside inhaling all those recycled air which others have breathed before. Also, hygiene is important.

CAUTIOUS: Some useful tips to know if you got it (advice given from Health Protection Agency to NHS doctors and nurses)
A person should be tested for swine flu if they fulfil any ONE of these three conditions:
  1. Have you got a fever with a temperature of over 39c (100f)?

  2. Have you got a flu-like illness with two or more of the following: Cough, runny nose, limb or joint pain, headache?

  3. Are there signs of another life-threatening illness suggesting of an infectious process?

  4. AND the following condition:
  5. Did the symptoms start within seven days of visiting Mexico or the U.S. states of California, Kansas, New York, Ohio or Texas?

If you do catch any of the symptoms above, what are you waiting for? Don’t hesitate! Just go! Go! Go to the hospital for a check-up straight away! You’ve got nothing to lose! Better be safe than sorry!

We are planning to go to Paris on this coming summer. Should we go with this epidemic spreading around so madly? Maybe not. But I wanna go to Paris…haih~~~~~ T___T

Take care.

Chicken a la Carte

I felt utterly heartbroken...totally heartsick after I watched this video. Please spare yourself a few minutes (just six minutes) to watch this heart. Not suitable for kids.

We have too many wonderful things from the way we are brought up so do appreciate everything anything wholeheartedly. Eventhough it seems priceless to you.

Mental Torment

On 3 separate occasions…

A How would you react to this? You came to office as per usual right? Then you’ve been called “politely” to attend your big boss office suddenly. This meeting doesn’t occur very often as you are a small potato here and once you’re shut the door behind you, you could see your boss was pulling stressing and unsympathetic face. Ooppps…there you go, a letter / a sentence from his mouth saying “I am truly deeply regret to say that we have to let you go”. Just like that. In seconds. They totally couldn’t keep you for whatever contribution you have made previously because if you’re clinging to them, they are heading towards a really dark deep dead-end hole ‘gaung’ (Malay – suddenly I can’t remember the word).

Choi! Choi! Choi! *Touch wood* No, it’s not me nor hubby. It’s our friend’s company. A close friend of ours sighed in deeeeeeeep relief when he is saved. We too! But we’re shocked as he told us the news. His company has sacked a number of co-workers (numbers not known) today. One of his colleagues who met hubby on hubby’s interview about 2 years ago is in the employee redundancy list. Shocking, aint it?

It’s just like you’re queueing waiting to be thrown into the hot fire incinerator. Or one of those many pigs waiting to be slaughtered. Or one of the many ants who work so hard to live on then suddenly a big thump (size 10 feet) behind.. On no any prior notice! Cruel~~~~

This is MENTAL TORTURE!!! Should I be happy that it’s not me or should I start worrying that I might be in the next list? But I’m grateful that my company is still quite stable, according to the bosses and I hope will be for as long as it can.

I’m really praying hard inside…praying hard….please don’t make us joining the crowds. Please let this credit crunch over….right this minute. Right NOW!!!! Pwwwweeeeaaaaaaaasssssseeeeeeeeeeeeee!

***

B You deserve it, Josef Fritzl! I hate you for what you have done to your own flesh and blood 100 times 100%. You’ll know what I am talking about if you follow this hot news. Every new-alert people know what you have done. You should be living in that hell, the you so-call-second-home for the rest of your life. Surviving on only the foods that are always low and expired – just like how you say you provide to Elisabeth and your children / grandchildren comfortably. How are you going to say to that? You are so ssssssiiiiiiiiiiiick yet you’re conscious with what you have been doing for the whole 24 years!!!!!

I was listening to the radio when the newsreader said Josef Fritzl has been given the life sentence in a mentally disturb centre. I was shouting with joy inside (I was at work, ok). You may think that I’m so cruel but I’m giving not a slightest commiseration to that born-to-rape monster. I even think that life imprisonment is too easy for this type of person. Enjoy your miserable days in your new ‘home’. Shame on you, Josef!

Honestly, I couldn’t believe how Elisabeth could survive 24 years in that cellar – the worst dungeon I must say. Let alone the children seeing with their own eyes how their father rape their mother. It’s life mental torture to all of them. Both physically and mentally for as long as they live.

My heart goes to her and her children. Now that they are free from the monster’s capture but losing 24 years of her youth to her father, spending the years of harsh rapes and deprivation in the dungeon, how is she going to lead her life normally? I think she has the will to live on only for the sake of her children. I am hoping she and her children can cope living normally (although it’s extremely difficult) with continuous support and care from the authorities. She is strong she has build up all this years and to be able to live on in the dungeon for 24 years, I respect your strong will. God be with you and your children all the time.

***

C I miss HOME especially when I couldn’t meet my family, touch them, speak to them physically or hug them. When I couldn’t say “ular peng satu, bang”, “kampua”, “cha mien satu” in the coffee shop. T__________T Right,I gonna make my own warm ular along with kampua this weekend. Yum yum...

Despise this unutterable & inexpressible feeling

Homesick. Arggh!!!

What’s wrong with me? 3 weeks already since the holiday and I’m still homesick. So useless.

I was ok when I was on the phone with them or when I’m busy. But when I got nothing to do, the feeling is back. I was totally ok when I had heart-to-heart with hubby. But still it doesn’t go away. It’s just like a deadly infectious virus haunting deep inside me. I hate this. It’s so depressing~~~ T___T

I still remember a few days after I just arrived UK, I was so upset that I broke into tears in front of AJ. He was quiet when he saw me crying and kept turning checking on me while I tried to divert his attention to toys. Blessed~~~ I enjoyed every moment at Malaysia and didn’t realise that it was the end of the holiday already. Missing every moment! A gruelling torturing punishment. What did I do to deserve this?

I’ve been trying to refrain myself to confess with hubby about when’s the next trip going back home. As I know the more I think about it, I might just ending up book a single trip ticket online without having much thought. Wahaha…sounds silly but that’s how I feel.

But situation doesn’t allow me to do so. I got work commitments here with good pay. Better than kais pagi makan pagi, kais petang makan petang (Malay Idioms – awesome, I still remember this. Although it’s a bit weird writing in Malay. I thought I spelled it wrongly) =.= That’s life, eh? To be honest, I enjoy working with my current company. Thumbs up to its working environment, benefits which I love and of course, good pay.

Are there any other things I can do to make life better? My friends encouraged me to stay in UK as the education, health, life style is much better for AJ compare to Malaysia. Is this true? Yes in education but I cannot see this in primary or high school. I agree with the health and level of service here but I wouldn’t like to see him getting sick all the time during winter season. Life style?

Hurm…maybe I don’t have much friends here. The friends we mingle mostly at weekends are Rudolf and his brothers, Kok Fung, Teck Young and Ken with his family. I miss Val! Val, when are you coming over again? All my girl friends in Malaysia - Yii Chieh, Kam Chung (opps, ok..he’s my boy friend), Tai Lee, Tai Fung, Ing Ing, Hie Mee. My family, those in KL and Sarikei. Teck Young might be leaving us soon when he finishes his studies this coming September. I’m gonna miss his jokes. A lot. I wonder who’ll be our new circle of friends.

In order to make my life more interesting, I know…
- I shall joke a lot more with jimmy. Have a healthy relationship. *grin wickedly*
- I shall with AJ a lot more, seriously and healthily1 – teach him to speak properly not - baba…dada…bai bai
- I shall think of nutritious meal for AJ.
- I shall organise more interesting activity, but these have to wait until winter’s over. Picnic, beach (the Gold coast as according to Alice), kids playground, siak ta (tea time - copycat from Connie)
- I shall utilise all my freetime to its full extend – caring AJ, cleaning the house, taking some fresh air outside with AJ.
- I shall update meself with Alice’s project (365)/2.
- I shall continue with my healthy diet...wahaha..i’m so happy with my current figure. I haven’t heard any fatty word from hubby or Connie for quite some time
- I shall challenge myself to wear dress or skirt - I’ve a really sick phobia of not being lady enough. I don’t even know why myself
- I shall take a lot of photos with meself in it.
- I shall play actively in FB – pet society (that’s when I’m really bored)

Gosh, I felt so much better after writing this post~~~ I know I'll feel better in soon. sooooonnnnnn.....Haha… like everyone else, you’ll miss the happy days. You will and you’ll remember so vividly in your mind. You’ll wish that you still at holiday. That’s what holiday means and a must have for everyone. Miss you all, everyone! Always and everyday.

Maybe we should arrange another holiday soon? £££££

Emo Valentine

I’m back. Back to reality. T___T

The holiday was amazing. Extremely superb! We grew closer day-by-day. Everybody enjoyed the company of AJ. So did AJ. He brought joy & happiness to the house. Everyone was smiling non-stop and laughing ka-ka-ka-ka all the time.

But I didn’t realized that the day we left Boleh-land has left everyone heartbroken. T___T The flight returning to UK was indeed horrible. The moment we (with my in-laws) at KLIA, we were all in tears. T___T We were speechless, hugging each other. Just like what Jimmy’s mom said in fuchow, “tieh gao wu yiang”…means weep until unrecognisable.

Everyone except Mr. Wong & AJ. ==”. AJ was sleeping (don’t know what is happening). Mr. Wong leh…he’s cruel enough not to shed any tears until when he’s out of idea to comfort his gf. I know Mr. Wong was crying inside. He had to comfort Alice so he has to hold on to that. I can see that everyone will be missing AJ the most.

The flight journey was unpleasant to be honest. I threw up twice during the journey. Poor Jimmy had to deal with AJ’s tantrum. I wasn’t aware until I heard this myself from Jimmy. AJ was sitting on Jimmy’s lap playing with the small tv. Then aiyoyo... naughty him pat an air hostess’s bottom as she passed by. As normal human would react, she turned over and immediately Jimmy pointed AJ. “It his doing not mine. I’m not taking the blame” Jimmy thought. Blessed~~~~

Right, the vomiting didn’t end just like that. We arrived at my friend’s on time. Then I had diarrhoea the next day. T___T We planned to drive back to Plymouth the next day but due to my sickness, we ended up arriving Plymouth nearly midnight.

A really unpleasant journey, I can say. My tears kept coming when I think of my family (the Ling’s and Lee’s). This is our first time celebrating Valentine’s day on the air but ended up to be an aweful and unforgettable Valentine. At least Alice got an expensive pressie from Mr. Wong. So jealous neh.

We woke up around 5 the next morning. Jet lag~~~~ Checked Alice and Connie’s blog. Alice’s post makes Jimmy and I burst to tears…again. Why oh why, Alice? Why do you have to post such an emo post making us sobbing?

Orite. Enough of this upsetting drama.

I still have a few days off allowing me enough time to adjust AJ’s jet lag and then catch up with UK’s life. Not to forget, back to blogging life. Hehe…

Coming up…we’ll show you how well did we enjoy our holiday, especially AJ. Watch this space!

Long live WMS

Yippeee!!!

I’ve a new spec. Actually…I got 2 new specs! Yes! 2!!! I know I can get it cheaper when I go back home next year. But hear me out.

My company is so nice that they are willing to contribute a little towards getting a new spec since I’m working in front of the computer most of the time. You may not know this if your eyes are perfect but people like me needs to get eyes checked every two years.

The last time my eye test was 3 years ago at my hometown. At that time, I paid for £35 to get a new considerably trendy spec. This includes eye test and special coating for reflection. Cheap eh!?! I had my glasses tinted but it isn’t very popular in UK so they ended up thinking that I’m colour-blinded. =.=

It’s far too cheap in Malaysia but in UK, expect the worse. Everything is charged. The Specsaver, 60+ chained-opticians charged eye test for £17. Going to the frames, the normal and unpleasant glasses costs £25. It could cost you at least £125 for a designer’s specs! Without noticing, you could end up spending hundreds to get a comfy and wearable spec.

I myself prefer one that is trendy, comfy and flexible. I was planning to wait until my big holiday to get a new spec. But my eyesight is getting worse and having headache every morning lately. So, I decided to get a temporary cheap one soon not until this golden opportunity comes...

CONTRIBUTIONS FROM MY EMPLOYER, WMS! >>> I love you more and more each day...wahaha...

The contribution was not much but it helps a lot. With this, I get free eye test and £20 discount off any frames purchased from £99 range and above. Now, the most interesting part is Specsaver offers buy 1 get 1 free glass from £99 above. And oh...not to forget...free scratch resistant as well...Woot~~~~

Now I get a free full eye test and 2 new specs at just one spec price and at discounted price! Pretty amazing! You might be thinking, “2 glasses? What for?” I thought the same too...but if you get another one free, why not? One for work, one for party / casual.

So, how much I have saved so far? Without the offer & discounted price, I may need to pay £191 altogether but I’ve only paid £79, which is just about the price of 2 specs in Malaysia. Would you do the same thing if you were me??? Woot~~~~

Now I might just need to spend a few quids to change the glasses to tinted & special coating reflections when I’m back to my homwtown.

OK…enough the crap...let me show you guys the 2 new specs I just got few days ago. Tadah!!!

Jimmy like them as well! What do you think, guys?

Thank you so much, WMS...

Finally...

After 4 days surviving on just porridge, water and yogurts, finally I can CHEW. Munch! Munch! Munch! I felt a lot better today and still swelling a little bit. You see...that's why you don't get to see the photos of me wearing the new specs. Will pose with them when I'm fully recovered...

Over the last few days, I find it difficult to put the spoon into my mouth. The spoon’s too BIG for my mouth! =.= And it hurts if I open my mouth wider...

But tonight, it’s not that much pain anymore, I had egg mayonaise sandwich. Only ate two but I'd to squeeze them into my widest open mouth. One munch at a second T__T

Now that’s all the wisdom teeth are out, I am relieved. Very relieved. No more worries! *wink*

Thank God...

I'm ALIVE!!!

Ouch! I’m swelling, dizzy, sore throat, gum sores, voiceless, hungry and in SO MUCH PAIN! Arrrggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I checked myself in from 7am yesterday and waited for long long long hours in hunger and dehydrated. The paperwork finished before 9. I thought I’ll be in the theatre at around 10ish but it only gets real at 3-ish. I haven’t been eating for a day and a cup of water for the whole day.

Regretted for not bringing a book to read. =.=

Yay...the wait is finally over and it was 2-ish. Changed to hospital gown and wait again. I started to get nervous. Ooo……very very nervous. My hands were shaking. I joked with the docs and nurses to reduce my anxiety before they sent me off to sleep.

By the time I came around, it was 4:55PM. Couldn’t remember what happened. The nurses kept calling my name to wake me up and checked that I’m doing ok. The last memory I last had was the moments before I was sedated with local anaesthetic. I also remembered that I had a sweet dream but couldn’t remember the story line. I knew it relates to Jimmy and AJ. Hey, the sedative worked perfectly. ^__^

I was dizzy, sleepy, sore gums and hungry. Finally, I was allowed a cup of warm water but couldn’t finish it at one time. I wish I could! If I did it in one go, I would throw up moments later. There’re a few times I nearly throw up, but there’re just winds or bloods. Hungry..yum yum…I was allowed to eat but the pain… no appetite!!!

Jimmy visited me before he picked AJ. *Blessed* Jimmy is out of hand taking care of AJ so Rudolf and Clif sent me home. I was still weak because of the painkiller so I had to be ushered in a wheel chair.

Reach home. Home sweet home! Jimmy cooked porridge but I could only sip just nearly half of the bowl. Had to be spoon-fed because ...oh OMG, I felt the spoon was so heavy for the very first time!

Went to bed not long afterwards. Jimmy had to guide me to the toilet in the middle of the night because I couldn’t walk properly. Poor my dearest hubby for he has been taking care the whole family at the same time. *Blessed* I bet he’s really all worn-out. I love him more and more day by day.

This is it. The end of the war. AND I WON! YES! muahaha...can’t lol physically yet though. Thanks for those who pray for me. Thanks to you who support me from the beginning till the end, my hubby. Thanks to AJ for cheering my day up. I miss you like crazy.

Here come the photos...photos...woot~~~~ I got so bored while waiting so I took some random photos...

The WAR!!!

*Butterflies in my stomach*

Oh no! Today it is! This is the day!

When you read this, I might be...well, depend on what time you read it. UK time 7-11 am (Msia 2-7 pm), I could be under the knife between this hours. I'll be reporting myself into a designated ward in Derriford Hospital at 7am. The doc who's going to operate me will start working around 8:30am and I'm fourth in line for the similar operations. So I'm guessing my surgery will be around 10ish.

At the assessment day last week, the nurse advised me to bring a book so that I could read while I'm waiting. But I don't think I can concentrate la....even so what should I read? Dotnet? AJAX? I'm not keen in books in fact unless I have to. I like books but they need to be eye-catching lo.

Jimmy's going to drop me off later but won't go in with since AJ's with him. This is it...this is it...oh no...I'm can't get it off my mind. I've been spending a lot of time playing with AJ this weekend relaxing myself. But it keeps coming back. I know I worry too much. But this is my very first time under action! Under the knife even! OMG! =.=

I was told last week to refrain myself from eating starting 12am today and drinking from 6am. What to do? Also, I wonder if I can eat afterwards? My gums might be really swollen after the surgery and how can I chew with the pain? This is a good chance for my diet eh... *evil grin*

Also, although it was only 45 mins local anaesthestic, I was warned to be very careful when touching electrical appliances - especially kettle, microwave, electric stove for the next few days. Not sure why though...haih =.=

I really hope that I won't have to stay at hospital. Might have to discuss this with the doc after the surgery. Hopefully, everything will be ok. *finger crossed*

Eh, I wonder if I can bring the four wisdom teeth back home? to put under my pillow for the fairy tooth? eee....yucks! wahaha...I might, you know....hmm......

If you don't see any new post from Wednesday, you know what it means! Should I write a will first? T___T *touch wood*

Anyway, wish me luck! *wink*

Getting ready for war 06/10

Yes, the waiting is over. You see, I have four wisdom teeth come out the wrong way. Humm…how to say? I wish I had the x-ray to show you guys. Don’t mind with photos but they are so ugly la…so no no no…You can’t even see it clearly. Right, four of my wisdom teeth are currently facing the wrong directions. Bottom two should be facing up north and top two facing down south. But all of them are facing towards the opening of my mouth. They are half way there and whenever they are trying to come out, they’re hurting me but squeezing my other teeth tighter and tighter. Causing swollen jaws.

So I visited a private dentist in March complaining about my swollen jaws. Referred to NHS hospital for removal surgery. The dentist couldn’t perform the surgery due to lack of experience in performing surgery for wisdom teeth. Why did he become a dentist then? So, I’ve 2 choices. Going for NHS - queue in their waiting list for my turn (estimated 2-3 months or more waiting) or going private (done within weeks) – one wisdom teeth costs approx £200 not including x-ray and consultation fee. O.o This could total up to £1000. If I’m insured then I won’t bother about that amount. But I’m not insured la….wth. Damn….damn…damn…

I nearly booked my ticket back to Malaysia in order to get this done. To be honest, call me stingy or whatever, I’d rather spend my money on the flights rather than going private here. You’d do the same thing if you were me. And you know, bringing AJ back home to see his broodline and to enjoy Malaysia’s food I’ve missed so much. But our passports were held by the home office for visa application and by the time we received the passports back, I have already received a NHS letter for checkup and Alice was here for her holiday. I couldn’t left her alone at home when Jimmy’s at work. She’ll be wasting her time doing nothing at home. Haih~~~~

Somewhere in June, I went for check-up, been told to wait for another 2-3 month (again! Haih =.=) for the surgery. Around July / August, the surgery was arranged end of August. The waiting wasn’t too bad eh. But I have to postpone as no one is taking care of AJ when Jimmy’s at work and Alice has already gone back home. So I thought to delay a little bit later so that Jimmy can send AJ off to nursery before working when I have the surgery.

Anyway, I went to dentist assessment day yesterday at Derriford hospital, the Plymouth NHS hospital before the surgery next Monday. All they did yesterday was taking blood and MRSA sample taken for lab examination, blood pressure, measure height and weight (I’ve lost 500 grams! Yesh! Whoosh!) then health questionnaires. See, easy!

At first, I thought it was just two from my bottom jaw. But I was shocked when I was told to take four. FOUR! Bottom two and top two. I didn’t realised it is the same problem on the top jaw. Good that they check it. Else it’s going be another problem again sometime later.

I was advised to pack a light bag, I might stay overnight for monitoring just in case. O.o This will be the first time, I’ll be away from AJ for such a long time. Ooo..I’m gonna miss him very much if I’m staying at the hospital. Pray pray Jimmy can cope with it himself. His hand’s going to be tight without having someone else to take care of AJ. Plus, I’ve been waking up every nights taking care of AJ. I wonder if Jimmy will be alert or not.

I know it’s a small surgery. But what if I still awake after anaesthetic given and the surgeon continues to cut me without realising it? What if something goes wrong with the surgery? What if the surgeon drop the knife when he’s trying to get my teeth out? And oops it went into my mouth? What if I couldn’t talk for the rest of my life after the surgery? What if they couldn’t stop my bleeding and you know I went xD? What if I couldn’t wake up after the anaesthetic gone? What if? T___T

Also, if I’m staying overnight, this will be the first time no visitor when I’m hospitalised. I need to check in early on Monday @ 7am. So I might just taking taxi there and then bus home all by myself. *Singing all by myself* Jimmy couldn’t visit me as AJ’s too young to come to hospital. Wah…so horrible la that feeling. Even though I haven’t gone through it yet, but I can fffeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllll it already. If Alice or my family is here, surely I won’t feel alone and have some lovely family food. Lonely *singing lonely…so lonely (by AKON)*

wah..too depressing la….think no more…think no more….

Pray pray….Pray that my surgery goes on smoothly. Pray that Jimmy will be doing ok with AJ. Pray that I don’t have to stay overnight in hospital. Pray pray pray.

After the surgery, my jaws going to be really sore having losing 4 teeth at the same time and I won’t be able to talk and eat properly, I bet. I’m gonna talk with AJ….ah ah…uh uh…ba ba…ma ma…da da….Eh, I might be losing weight faster this way since I’m not allowed to eat 10 hours and drink 3 hours prior to the surgery…and could I eat afterwards? muahaha…DIET!!!

Oii…this doesn’t mean after the surgery that I’m getting more foolish, ok?

Life without her

BEWARN: This post is specially written for someone of my family. :P Don't hate me pls for you know I love you very much.
***

She? Who's she? It has been a week since Alice left AJ and I, 5 days for Jimmy. Erm..how to say this? I'm not good in elaborating. We felt a big part of us missing, esp. AJ. Big impact! =X

I didn't get to know Alice very well since Jimmy and I start dating. That was erm...7 years ago. Gosh! 7 years already!?! Probably being away for so long (study at KL, Kuching & UK, then work, married then baby - hectic life!). Before she came here, I thought she's going to be like... no offence, Alice... "She's gonna treat me like an outsider", "She's gonna hate my cooking - just like his king-tongue brother" or "She'll not bonding with me well". But then, it was just a thought. I know I don't have to panic so much for as long I did my best, she's to decide the best way to treat me. I'll accept whoever she is with my open heart.

She has been with us for nearly 3 months in UK. Our relationship has gone deeper day-to-day ... as in closer & closer day-by-day. She helps me whenever she can. Respect her brother a lots that she listens to every words he said & takes them seriously - well, except the f*** stuff. That's what I admire Jimmy of. Looked upon high by his siblings. Loves AJ so much as if AJ is her bf.

She wears almost all my pre-pregnancy clothes. Wahaha...I'm so admiring my previous body size. Jimmy even goes like "I didn't know your body size used to be that fabulous, Margaret". But now... T___T Diet! I can do it! OK. OK. Back to the subject, she's tough girl. A mature girl, thinks a lot more than she should be at her age. She likes to learn new things, including improving her cooking. Needless to say, she missed my cooking (that's the fact).

She loves travelling but can stay at home for more than a week without going out. But her downside is undecisive, as according to her blog. Her plans keep changing but of course I know when there's a problem, re-plan is a must even if the original one has to be scraped. Until you get to the right one. You know, Alice, when there's a will, there's a way. Gambate.

Right, what is the big impact I talked earlier? Let us see what she has left behind...

A shower cap she brought from Msia & a toothbrush from her cousin moo-moo =.=
I used to have someone to wash dishes after dinner. Now I got meself a part-timer
Clothes remain unfolded till before my bedtime
AJ's Nokia 6680. Posh leh
Slippers bought in UK. Too bad not my size
No one to play with AJ
Her beautiful photo - 1960s
and the sweetest thing is a gift from Ruldof, Val, Davy & Cliff - the family portrait

Haha...not to forget also, all the good memories. This beloved sister of mine has now gone back home for this special event. Her family will be witnessing her wearing the honored gown & walking up the stage receiving her degree certificate. CONGRATULATIONS again. So Alice, don't forget, photos!

We all miss you lotz! Love ya..

Oh yea...just got a brilliant award from her - eventhough I'm a newbie. From her post http://dejavu-world.blogspot.com/2008/08/thank-you-drumsticks.html. haha..I'm so proud. so proud.
