Whoop! Whoop! Yes, as every malls are now playing the Chinese New Year songs...Gong xi ya gong xi...sin nina fa da chai...nian nian you yu, it's obviously not long now. I haven't heard these songs for quite a long time. 6 years back...shocking aint it? Everybody is looking forward to go back home celebrating this glorious event but a gentle reminder to all travellers....travel safely. Think your family always.
Anyway, I just got my leave approved. Yeah! It was kinda late when I applied for the Chinese New Year leave and as I was still in probation so I started a bit worried when I didn't get any reply back few days later. I guess I was worry a bit too much after all. wahaha...can't blame me. This is my first important Chinese New Year since I moved back from UK, so surely I can't miss it. It would be a sin for me to miss such an important events!
In less than 3 weeks, I still have lots of things to do.
1/ Hair do. My hair is short now but since my hair cut which is about 4-6 weeks ago, it grew longer and yes indeed messy. I have not idea the new hair style but I bet it's going to be shorter than now. As you know the price goes up when it gets nearer to Chinese New Year so I definitely need to get this done by at least a week before the big day. I'm kinda looking for a bit curler to pump up my less hair but it's a no no from hubby. hump....
2/ AJ Hep A booster. AJ is due for his booster jab this month. He had the first injection last year and now it's due. Must be done by the end of this month. And also to catch up with any immunisation provided by the health authority here that he missed.
3/ Work clothes aka CNY clothes. Arghh!!! The sale is everywhere and yet I'm still with no new clothes for the big event. ==" I must be hard at shopping starting new week. Imma dragging my sister along to get her opinion. I just realised I couldn't make a good decision in hunting for nice clothes. I desperately need someone with me. and Jerome too! shop for clothes! & CNY shoes!
4/ Shopping
5/ Hair cut
6/ Shopping
7/ Hair cut
8/Getting Angpao ready ==" nah...not going to care about this much as as long this makes everyone happy (of course especially AJ), it's more than I could wish for.

Roach bites!
Ouch! I've been bitten...by a roach. At exactly 10 mins to 2 am this morning, I was woken by this extreme pain (needle pain) in my left skull. Gently brushing my hair with my sleeping left hand and NEVER would I thought to feel something awkward. It's not my hair! I quickly whisked it away without wasting any MILISECONDS in the dark because I KNOW IT'S NOT HAIR. It doesn't belong to part of me. NOT A THING! Quickly switched on the lights to find out what is that and I noticed a cockroach in my bolster.
It's a young teenage roach!
Roach!
A roach bit me head!
I've been sleeping here for the past 2 months and never did I came across needless to say of all the oxygen that I breathed for the 27 odd years I would ever ever ever know that COCKROACH BITES!
Why he bit? Why me? Why my head?
Was it be a revenge for his mother / father / brother / sister / cousin? I saw a cockroach in the living room before I went to bed few hours earlier so I killed it. Weird enough, I have also ensured that nothing could pass through the gap between the door and the floor. So basically I don't really know how he could get in just to avenge for his family?
Or was it from the smell of my hair that hasn't been washed for more than 24 hours? Oiii. Don't yuck me. Ask any girls around you and I'm pretty sure most girls would says they wash their hair every 2-3 days. I wash mine every alternate days. Depends on what activity, say I sweat too much or passed by smokey environment or oily cooking. Then I would wash it even I just had it yesterday. For hygiene purpose.
Thinking back, I tingled uncomfortably. Flashing back the incident everytime the pain indeed making my flesh my hair creeps. I couldn't sleep properly after just in case it would come back again. So I woke up every few hours to double check. Checked AJ is ok before I went back to sleep.
Thanks be to Lord that I'm still fine after the bite. Please God. Don't make this incident reoccur again.
Shoo roach....
Careful! Roach does bites.
Yuck!
What a bad experience!

Last Wednesday in Plymouth
This is my last post for the "Last". 7 post in a row for a week. I felt quite OK to be honest but I need to be free enough to allocate time to blog. Sometimes I felt I have nothing to blog about. But anyway, I did it successfully on the account of I'm not working having some spare time to blog. Hope you're not too bored, everyone...
Hubby and I are soooo addicted with the Nintendo DS Brain Training game lately. We're competing against each other indirectly! and guess what? I managed to sharpen my brain into 28 years which is good while hubby deteriotes to 40. muahaha...but I think you have to be sharp to play the game in order to get good result. It's a good brain training though. I enjoyed the maths part & Sudoku. I can imagine that we'll be rowing over the DS in the plane tomorrow.
Yeap tonight is my last night in Plymouth. To be honest, I thought I would be settling here in Plymouth for good. It never came across to my mind that I’ll be moving back home. I first came here with hubby in 2003 as a student and I had to learn English from the beginning as the accent here is different. Now, not only 2 but 3 of us are moving back to Malaysia starting fresh.
Anyway, there’s one last thing I want to do before leaving UK. A delicious meal in Misato yum yum...the renowned Japanese restaurant in London China Town. The meals there are always very lovely and there are always long queues at peak hours. We would never miss it whenever we go to London. And we’re going to go there for a late lunch before heading to the airport tomorrow. Yipee!!!
Then to Convent Garden which I always missed at each London visits. I heard that it is famous with funny performances all day and I’m looking forward to watching it myself. with AJ and hubby.
T____T
Bye bye friends
Bye bye WMS
Bye bye Plymouth
Bye bye London
Bye bye England
I miss you all and hope to see you soon....
Malaysia here I come! Here we come. The new challenging risky yet exciting life begins...
First a long haul flight. T.T

To you, for you, In favour of WMS
Allow me to dedicate this post to WMS.
Dear WMS,
To all my adored colleagues and beloved company Western Mortgage Services (WMS) I would like to take this opportunity to express my greatest appreciation to you.
Right, I joined WMS on 26/05/2006, I have learned a lot be it from working experience or social life. I was the only Malaysian and Chinese in WMS and because of that everyone in the company knows me. And still is. =.=
Let me describe my experience at the interview time with WMS. It was a few weeks before my final year exam and I was excited but I considered myself lucky to be short listed for being a foreigner in UK. The interview went quite well. I brought the certificates and transcripts along with me on that day but I forgot to show the documents to them! How forgetful I was! The file was brought there with me and left unopened until I reach home. I thought “I’m dead. No hope this time. Not a single chance!”. But surprisingly, I received a call the next few days and YES! I’ve been offered. Whoosh! I’m so proud of myself for being able to secure a job before I graduate.
I still remembered I was pretty nervous on my first day. I went to the HR department and had some introduction with Health and Safety training, working policy, IT policy, bla bla bla. Then I met my then manager who interviewed me previously. The meeting took place in a small meeting room. And when I tried to stand up to follow him to the IT department, the table suddenly fell down! The legs came off from the table surface and off it went down. OMG, I was sooooo embarrassed you know. I didn’t expect something like this happened. On my first day wor.
Anyway, I had to learn a new development tool called Magic, which WMS acquired since 1999 from day one and which I don’t have a clue about it from my university education! It’s not a programming language but it’s a tool (something similar to Microsoft Access) with a mixture of programming concept which WMS use for in-house systems. It was pretty difficult at first but with the help of Gary, my then mentor now my team leader, I took it quite well. Whoosh!
I don’t like to be sitting in the office doing nothing so I always came up to Gary asking for more jobs. Haha For a period, I think Gary got really scared of me whenever he saw me coming. I was known to him and the other team leaders from the same department as Maggs the machine. T.T Because I completed the assigned tasks so quickly that these really amazed them and Gary knew that he had to find a new project for me not long after he gave me one. I didn’t realised that myself until they told me a few months ago.
So within months I was able to get involved with more challenging projects, which I admit a lot of experience gained from there. Personally I enjoyed working with WMS. I didn’t felt that I was discriminated or bullied and mix well with the colleague at work. The most important thing of all I think my English has improved working with WMS. I went from only speak out only on project related stuff to jokes with my colleagues. Sometimes they do tease me for not speaking English properly, but I don’t really take note of it because nah…I can’t be bothered.
Seriously, WMS is a good company to work for. I enjoyed the benefits provided from WMS. 26 paid annual leave, compressed working hours from five days to four days a week, 9 months paid maternity leave, paid sick leave and a small funding over getting a new spectacles and lots more, what else can I ask for? I would certainly recommend anyone to work with WMS. It's the best company I enjoyed. If not, I won't stay there for 3 years!
However due to family reasons, hubby and me along with the support from AJ, we decided to move back for Malaysia starting fresh so that we could be together as one whole real family. At least we are not separated too far away compared to thousand miles away in UK which can be reachable, huggable, touchable after 13 hours flight from London to KL plus the 4 hours train to Plymouth, 1 hour drive from SIbu airport to Sarikei also not mentioning the waiting hours in between in the airports. T.T
Today is my last day and to my surprise, they even decorate my table today and giving me farewell gifts. They are so lovely, weren’t they? I was so emo when they gave me the pressies and cried. *sob sob* They made me sad to leave. Anyway, we had the leaving buffet lunch at the Buffet city restaurant which was good.

Sushi...love it! enjoy it!
Normally I would bring lunch to work. Either bread with chocolate or strawberry spread or marble cake. Sometimes, when there’s leftover enough to cover three of us meal for the next day, I’ll bring some to work. Sometimes, we went out to BK (Burger King) for lunch but because Jimmy then changed to a new company since last year that is just outside of the city centre and now since he resigned, he stayed at home taking care of AJ. However, it seems to be a rainy July rather than sunny July experienced from previous years, so we don’t really hang out outside much now. So I would sometimes to the nearby sandwich store. But now I can’t be bothered to have any bread for lunch anymore. Fed up!
Yeah, I’m not as lucky as the easterners that can just go out to the nearby stall with colleagues and have a nice eastern meal ie Nasi Lemak satu moi! Or chicken fried rice! With Teh Peng! OMG, by just mentioning these have already made me drooling. T.T Yum yum….
I don’t know why but probably it’s because I grew up eating rice and missed having oriental meals if I missed on a meal. So, I had mostly enough with bread at lunch at work. I don’t hate it 100% but I don’t really enjoy it anymore like I used to be. It has been like this since I was studying - like for the past 6 years. OMG!
As I only have a few more days left working before we’re moving home for good, I have decided to have sushi on every working lunch day. Don’t care anymore la. I can’t keep torturing myself like this else I’ll die with this deep intense yearning for a decent oriental meals for lunch.
Sushi! Yes! Sushi! Either from M&S, Tesco or Sainsbury but I prefer M&S. It’s fresher and nearest to my office. My colleague had the sushi everyday since I don't know when and since he started to sit with me so I guess that triggers me. The seaweed is not fresh though but I don’t mind really for another few days. At least it’s better than having bread. They come from different sizes but a medium is enough for me with a selection of prawn Futomaki, Soya Edamame Maki, King Prawn Nigiri, Red Pepper Maki, Smoked Salmon Nigiri and Cucumber Maki dip with Soy Sauce. If I feel hungry again, I have fruits or something light. Easy eh…

Haih, why I didn’t think of this earlier? Could fit well with my diet. My colleague has lost a lot of weight as a result of having sushi for lunch and he ain’t get bored with it. Not yet! As if he already sat next with me since he joined the company? But blame myself for not thinking of this at the first place. Good for diet not for £££ wise. Haha…
Only for the next few days, 3 working days so I’m not really concerned about spending the money anymore just for a nice lunch. Oopps, I'm late for work! See you guys later.
p.s. 14 days to go.

L.I.F.E
Life in my dictionary:
= Live It-to Full Extreme - buggy jumping, parachuting, rock climbing. I haven't done any of this in my life before. I would try it if you ask me 5 years younger. But I've spend my 5 years actually 6 years in Plymouth, UK through good and bad high and low, I have became a different person from the experience. I am going through the normal life just like the other normal people are doing, you know studying, involved in relationship(ssss for some people), graduating, looking for jobs, competing with other applicants to secure a jobs, moving homes (when you’re still renting), buying some gadgets to pamper myself, supporting my life, saving those money for use in rainy days and now I'm a mother. Now, my fullest excitement so far is to see AJ in my own eyes and held him myself on the 13/01/2008.
= is about no pain no gain – it’s all about indirect gambling in your life. Study or not study (for a better life), graduate or not graduate (to secure a good job), buy or not buy a car (for easy transportation or save for future), buy or not buy a house (for long term investment), marry or not marry (for long life commitment), be a parent or not a parent (for a complete family), travel or not travel (for leisure), for better or worse. The only thing you don’t get to choose to gamble is the family condition you get to be born from and when you die. I’m so far quite satisfied with my life, good huband, good healthy family and in-laws, a healthy son, holding good degree, am healthy myself so far though there’re some obstacles in my life. What else could I wish for?
= is about no regrets, no looking back – yes. I agree everyone makes mistakes about making decisions. It’s great when you are not looking back after decision making but you do sometimes look back those wrong decisions you made, When I feel that I make mistakes (like bought a clothe that I don’t like, not studying hard enough to get an A for my moral in SPM), I know I can’t turn back the time. I do have regrets which of course I cannot erased it from my memory but I will remember it so that I won't do the same mistake in the future. That’s why they call it the optimistic thinking!
= is all about taking risk all the time - We are taking a big challenging risk this time by leaving all the things we have build so far here in UK since 2002 and moving back to Malaysia starting fresh. I will be lying to you if I say I do not have any worries at all. But we’re going to give it a try. Sure it will be hard, least to say culture shock but I’m sure with the optimistic thinking, family and friends support, we can do it. That day is coming soon, in exactly a month time from today. *finger-crossed* Tee-hee...

Muller corner - vanilla choco balls...yum!
One of the things that I'll missed the most if I am to live in a place without it will be...
The muller corner with vanilla choco balls flavor - my favorite
There're a lot flavors in the market, blueberry, choco flakes, strawberry cakes, muller rice (which I don't like), low-fat muller, etc. It's so delicious that you'll get addicted without you knowing it at all. The packaging is also unique to ensure that you'll taste the crunchiness of the choco balls straight away in your tounge when they're mixed with the yogurt. Imagine that yogurt plus the choco balls, sweet + sour + chocolatey + creamy + crunchy + yum yum. Mmmmmm~~~~
The yogurt and choco balls separated. Waiting to be mixed
one thing I just realised this trick recently (learnt from my colleague). The packaging is designed for you to fold the choco balls side to fill into the yogurt. Quick, easy and neat. That's a good trick
Mix...Mix...Mix...
into my mouth...
yum yum....tee hee...
Not to forget, fatty too. So, eat with care.

Quick update
While most Chinese over the world having dumplings to celebrate this festive day, I went to work, so did hubby and AJ. We didn't know today it is the day until I've received wishes from my friends. Thanks to them..haha...We didn't have any dumplings either. T.T Not to worry...
At the meantime, today is the last day AJ goes to Kings nursery. He's changing to a new nursery nearer to where we live. The change is necessary for better mobility as we have sold our car about two weeks ago. It is also the last day Rudy sent and get AJ to the day care. Thanks Rudy for his huge help.
To be honest, I think AJ will missed the nursery. I've starting to miss it myself already. He really enjoyed his time there from just looking at the photos and learnt a lot from there too. He's going to a new nursery - Bambinos starting on Monday with hubby sending him off in the morning and me picking him up at the evening. Woot! can't wait...
He'll having a few hours settling in session tomorrow and I'm hoping that he'll be doing fine. Expect some tears from him. Can't escape! *wishing he won't though
Speaking of tomorrow. 3 years tomorrow. excatly 3 years I've since worked with my company. Gosh...time flies quick. Hubby is using bus to reach his office from tomorrow. Poor him has to wake up earlier as he has to walk for about 15 mins to the bus stop. A good exercise for him though.
I know this may not be new to you guys but I just watched the oscar award winning movie - the Slumdog millionaire. In short, I enjoyed it. Probably because I myself is a fan of Hindi movies. Weird, huh! I used to spend my afternoon watching TV Hindi movies and I'm a fan of Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Amitabh Bachan.
Right, back to the movie. I love the youngest Salim. He's so cute and I can't believed he actually jumped down through the toilet hole into a pool of dirty smelly shitty just to get an autograph from Amitabh Bachan. That's so unbelieveable. Salim is not clever nor educated but the life he had since childhood had earn him the winner in the who wants to be a millionaire Hindi version. He went through a really cruel and tough life but I'm satisfied with the happy ending. If you haven't watch it, you should watched it.
Guess what! I scaled myself today and was shocked to know that I've gained 3 kg threeeee kg since my holiday. I know I've talked about going back to the diet regime but I didn't managed to stop my cravings. No one to blame in this case as this is all my fault. But I'm blaming on my nosy hands and mouth with the persuasion from my brain. So, I'm now on strict diet. No more ice-cream, less meaty, lotsa vege & fruits even though I'm so sick with them. But will have ice-cream once or twice a month to pamper myself at this summer before it ends around August/September. I'm soooooooooooooooo serioussssssssssssss!!!!!
Weather forecastor predicts that it's going to be a lovely sunny weekend so I can't wait to enjoy the lovely weekend. No definite plan though. Most probably case would be a visit to Aj's playground, to the town for some walk...etc etc....

This is upsetting
I know I shouldn't write this, even just 2 days after my previous post. I am happy with the photos, admiring myself non-stop and still is. Hubby has been even praising my beauty since. "It would be really lovely, if you could make-up like this everyday?", "Man, they're so professional, an ugly duckling can turn into princess". No...no...no..he's not mean. I'm so proud for him to say that - in praising me "indirectly".
wahaha...let's cut the chase. The reason why I've been grumbling from the beginning is I've been gaining weight since the holiday. Comparing meself in those lovely wedding photos. Suddenly, I feel so fat.
Fat, urrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I realised when I'm trying sooooooooooo hard in getting into my size 8 jeans this morning . Hubby himself as well.
I've lost nearly my waistline. T__________T
T_____________T
This is so upsetting that I could see the tyre on my tummy area.
Ok, I lied, I've been off the diet since I can't remember when. Now that in order to gain back my curvyness (not forgetting fatty words from hubby & Connie), I've to go back to diet.
I need to look hot in front of everybody! Diet! Diet! Diet!
Hot wife!
Hot mom!
Hot! Hot! Hot!
C'mon, I need some support & encouraging words!
hurmmmmm...am gonna print one of the prettiest photo out, detailing especially my curvy waist and put it on my ceiling, setting my target of the day, every morning.
HOTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am who I am
I’m not being cynical or attempting to brag about it. Just being open to let everyone knows that it’s nothing to be ashamed of.
As a hopeful normal woman, I would never ever in my mind thinking that I got this incurable syndrome. My mother, sister and other relatives, as far as I know, they are all perfectly normal. I first had my period at 14, quite late to be honest. Most of my classmates already had it between 12 and 13.
Then, my second period was 6 months later. I had only about 4 the second year. 3 the next year then back to 4 every since. Mommy was really concerned when I finished SPM and she took me to see many specialists. Both western and eastern.
There was once I remembered vividly I was visiting one of the specialists in Sibu when I was 17 or 18. The specialist said my ovaries are still too young and not mature enough to produce eggs (ovum) on monthly basis. Depends, they could get mature as years passed by or they could be like this forever, according to him. If that is this case, I would need to accept the fact that the chance of getting pregnant is varied, small to none. I could be infertile because of not ovulating.
Because I hadn’t had period for quite some time (can’t remember how long), the doc gave me a productive injection, waking up the ovary (by giving a quick hard slaps) to produce ovum in the next few days. T___T And it works but it’s not advisable to use this on regular basis.
So, I called my ovaries as lazy factory from that day onwards. Haha...I was envied by my friends when they knew my issue. “Wah, you save a lot of money, eh”. “That is really good. I wished that I had yours. Having that thing every month is so not enjoying, dirty and so moody”. But I was crying inside bearing the fact that I’m not normal. I couldn’t accept the fact that I might not be able to bear a child of my own in the future. Childless?!?!
You can say I was silly because I even went to a stage on preventing myself from getting involved in a relationship. If I want to, I would carefully choose my man by checking that he’s not the only son in the family. Just in case, haha…I would immediately reject those who are without having second thought to prevent it gets ugly before it’s too late.
As you know, love is blind. There’s no way to run when the cupid pulled back on the string, stored the strongest energy in the bow and once released, they hits both me and Jimmy's back. That’s how I started with Jimmy. As soon as our relationship began, I was really being honest with him. I have a really lazy factory. He too...haha...the cupid arrow was so powerful that he wasn’t giving much thought about it at the first place. He said. True. It was puppy love, who’s going to know whether your relationship is going to last long. Who will ever know that the relationship grows stronger and stronger each day?
While studying in UK, the culture changed my mind a lot. I checked with the doctors here and my fears were confirmed. I have the so-called polycystic syndrome but just a light case. Those with serious case tend to be very fat and lots of illness. With my current good body shape and healthy BMI, I don’t have to worry too much. According to the doctor, I can choose to have period every month by taking conception pills but this doesn’t guarantee the production of eggs.
Or when I am ready to enter parenthood life and still childless, I could come back to him. He will refer me to a fertility specialist for further treatment, IVF or surrogate. That’s a relief. At least I know there’s other way if this cannot be done naturally. So, I opted to take it naturally rather than taking conception pills just to have period every month. Plus both of us are not ready yet.
Polycystic syndrome (aka four season’s period – autumn, spring, summer and winter) is very common in women. I realised I wasn’t the only one when I checked on the Internet. Many stars have it, e.g. Tana Ramsay (Gordon Ramsay’s wife) and Posh Beckham (if not mistaken) to name a few. Phew~~~
Years passed by and still I yearn inside for a baby of my own. My fears grew especially after we tied the knot. Jimmy expressed his concerns one day (about 2 years ago) what if I couldn’t conceive? And I joked, you could get a mistress. Haha… I would be really gutted if he did and if I couldn’t bear a child. I assured him, once we’re ready, we’ll keep trying within a period of time. If it reaches to a point when we think we have tried enough and this is not normal, we’ll seek for doctor’s help.
And Surprise! Surprise! We are blessed with AJ. Horray! I was screaming inside. I am normal! I now felt normal for the first time being a mother. Bless him for cheering our days to the fullest day by day.
This proves that having a four season period is nothing to be scared or uncomfortable of. It prevents me from being moody 4 days each month. It helps me from being feeling dirty each month. At least, I’m carefree for several months. Muahaha….
In spite of this, I need to be very cautious. Being a polycystic syndrome person is dangerous since I may conceive unexpectedly or maybe not. This is the time where you need protection. Are we ready for the second one? Not at the time being.
To those women out there, don’t feel ashamed if you are a part of this. Those simple-minded people can think whatever they want as I won’t even care whatever they think. Because it really does save me a lot of money. Be normal and accept it. Having a lazy factory does make your life easier in some ways which I enjoyed most of it.Not forgetting also, Jimmy is only quarantined once every 3 months. Enjoy your life and cherish every moments with your important ones. When the time comes, you’ll knew it. Be the one who you really are, woman!

FIVE! Give me five!
I’m super...duper…really…very…utterly ecstatic. Wahaha… Good news! Actually it’s great! *wailing contentedly*
Yes! Yes! Yes! I can’t believe it! It’s really happening. Wahaha….
Ever since I got pregnant, I’ve boomed into size 14 from size 8 ish. Then, down to size 12 after birth. It was hard for me to lose all those unnecessary fats because of…ok I admit… my laziness *sigh* and coping with my demanding son.
After 9 months maternity leave, I didn’t exercise much and am still size 12. So, 2 weeks before I went back to work, with my big size, I had to get meself new working clothes – all size 12. It was quite depressing really that I look fat and short when trying size 12 clothes. Limited to some colours and styles as well as they make me look even more stupid.
I started to envy those in good shape looks so good in any styles.
Anyway, we went to Matalan, a big clothing range store in Crownhill, a few miles from the city centre last weekend. We thought that maybe we could get some fresh ideas for our holiday prep. I bought a …. read this carefully …size 8…size 8 (EIGHTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT) top and jean.
First, I thought…nah..it could be just because size 8 in Matalan is the standard size 10/12. So, it was dismissed within seconds.
Then hor…..wahaha…wahaha….I bet you are thinking what I’m going to say next.
On Monday I was wearing my size 12 working trousers which I bought about 2 months ago. Throughout my working hours, I felt really awkward. I know I’ve lost a bit of weight since the surgery, so I’ve tighten its waist line before I return to work last week. But this Monday, I kept pulling my trousers up whenever it nearly falls down. Hey, my butt can’t be seen by public. Too embarassing~~~~~ :-S. “Is it me or is it the trousers getting bigger?”
The next day, I decided that I’m not going to make myself look graceless at work. It looks so unpro. So, I thought I could give a try on my pre-pregnancy size 8 slacks. And… it FITS! It is! I’m not dreaming! No squeezing or holding breath whatsoever! YIPEEE!
You might still remembered that I bought a dress a week ago for my wedding which then turned out to be more suitable for Chinese New Year dress. The dress was from Debenhams. Well I had that returned yesterday. I love that dress to be honest, but I saw another one which obviously I love more (my favourite so far) and is in a smaller size. Of coz I fit well and look fabulous (agreed by Alice and Jimmy).
So, with 30 days return rights, I have exchanged it with this new lovely dress and just pay £5 more. The dress was sold for £100, reduced to £50 and further down to £30. I have actually decided to get the new dress on Tuesday but I wanted to wait until Friday (my day off) so that I could try it on to make sure.
At first I thought I had to take that dirty dress when I fall in love on it on Tuesday. The only size 8 dress has two dots of stains and I was hoping that it could be cleaned easily if I am the owner. Then…hor…when I went up there, there’s another size 8 very clean of the same dress. My eyes went blinked~~~ Without wasting any seconds, I quickly grab that dress and of we (AJ and me) went into the dressing room before I regret.
Wahaha…I have no regrets….well, unless I saw a better one. Now, you might be asking why do I just buy the new dress without returning the old one. Humm….well, let’s just that I’m looking to spend my cash on few more clothes.
Woot~~~ I’M FLYING HOME IN 96 DAYS! 100 DAYS TO CHINESE NEW YEAR! 104 DAYS TO MY WEDDING! With my new lovely figure~~~~~~
Diet! Whoosh…whoosh….

Hoorah!
Not that the operation is a success. It's on Monday la.... I just don't want to get nervous too much. So keeping meself busy thinking of the happy moments.
Hooray for WMS my company. As you've already known, I'm compressing my working hours from 5 days to 4 days a week. It's tha day tomorrow! It's very exhausting honestly to work 4 long days, 8-6. Having to wake up around 6 everyday and sleep around 9-ish, I'm utterly drained. But I'm willing to sacrifice that to have a long weekend with my previous AJ.
At the same time, I've to watch my eating habits. oh...talking about diet, I'm very proud of myself. Haven't touch any meat, lotsa vege and 3 spoons of rice since Monday. Yesterday dinner was fried rice and I's really full taking so many rice. Probably I've got used with routine already? Whoosh....that's the plan. Weekday vegetarian then little meaty dishes on weekend. muahaha....
So, it's Friday today, Friday! Friday! I love Friday! Guess what am I going to do today? It's photo session in AJ's nursery. So I'm gonna exercise, walk up to Mannamead from Wake Street with AJ for photographing, then stop at Mary's house until Jimmy's off work. The photo shoots consists of individual and family takings. It's been quite a while since we last had our family photo. So, this is a good chance for us. AJ is looking handsome later. *Bless*
Mary said today's lunch is nasi lemak. Hoorah! Nasi lemak is one of the famous Malaysia food and can't wait to have a try tomorrow. Worth for nearly an hour fat-burning walk exercise, arriving at Mary's with empty stomach and crave myself with nasi lemak. haha...I'll be watching the intake anyway...for my big day next year.
***
GREAT NEWS! Have been waiting for this moment to tell you guys. I wanted to wait until we got this done...as a proof... *proud smile* I've been trying to upload this video for ages. Seems like there's a problem with the YouTube or something wrong with my broadband. Pheww...
Behold! For you'll be surprised (with your mouth open unnoticed) and replay again and again. Believe with your own eyes! It's really happening....
AJ's started crawling few weeks ago. But was unsteady. And Jimmy said, AJ crawled towards to him without any problem when he picked him up from the nursery on yesterday evening. He must have crawled for about 1-2 metres. *Regret* I wasn't there. T___T
He wasn't able to to do that previously. Jimmy was standing outside watching from the window. When AJ spoted his daddy, he quickly turned over and start crawling towards the window to where Jimmy is.
Well done, my son. Muacks...muacks...muacks...

I'm rich
This post was meant to be posted on Friday. But I forgot...T___T waaa.......totally forgot. Had a busy weekend. Anyway, who cares?? Remember...turn your time back to Friday.
Woot! Payday...
Wahaha…I’m rich – in my own world la…Not that I’m getting lotto or toto...Don’t mind if it is. I’m thousandnaire….woot~~~
Yes! It’s payday today! I’ve been on statutory pay since March and the pay was basically just enough for my rent. So poor that AJ and I were very much depending on Jimmy. Blessed daddy. When I arrived to my desk this morning, there’s the small yellow envelope I’ve been waiting for… my eyes went zing ££ zing ££.
My pay for this month is …. Eh…why should I tell you? No way, no way. It’s absolutely confidential & personal. But I’m so happy that I got paid (in full), so I thought to share my happiness with you all. Haha…..Don’t get offended, ok?
I’m going to tell you what I’m going to do with my money. CNY flight ticket, my winter jacket, winter clothes for AJ, possibly the dress for my wedding? If there’s a sale – I bet not at this time. So saving up till the boxing day. Then, I need to pay the rent, tax, bills, groceries…bla bla…..helping our young family surviving through the month. Also hopefully will helping Jimmy in providing our small family. Apparently, no much left for savings by the end of next month =.=, as expected.
Very normal. When you have your first salary, you’ll spend all of it. Then start saving the next month or so. I know I’ve started working 2 – 3 years ago. But since I was in such a long break, I’m going to pamper myself & the family with this pay.

Updates: AJ
AJ cold is still there but has got a lot better this week. His appetite grew and smiles happily every time our eyes met. He has been really good this week at nursery. He cried a while when Jimmy dropped him off on Monday. Then, he ended up watching his daddy walk away the rest of the week. Within seconds he arrived there, he just reaches out to the carer.
He used to start crying the moment he saw his daddy at the evening – wailing “take me home” or “where’ve you been? I miss you”. But now… “Oh hi daddy, you’re here”…huh…he just selamba…..selamba…… He saw his daddy walked in, sat beside him and yet he continues playing with the toys. =.=. Has he forgotten that he has a home to go back to?
T_T My cheeky son doesn’t want to go back home now. He prefers his nursery than his own home….haih…I can’t blame him. He spent most of his daytime at the nursery so has got used with the environment there. Since he’s such a good boy – settled in so quickly and superb compliments from nursery assistants, I’m relieved. Rewarding him something big. BIG KISS!!! Wahaha…. *Blessed*

Updates: Diet
I had two heavy dinner last two nights. Tried refraining myself to crave into those delicious meat dishes but couldn’t stop to have a bite. Joline was right. The more you avoid them, the more you crave for them. =.=
Now I fully understand why it’s so easy to get fat easily but ages to get back to shape. I kinda regret eating too much at my pregnancy. But I was eating for 2. Ah..I know I know…I keep looking for excuses. There’s no need to think back now. Regretting won’t get me shape back too. So, what I’ll do now….is diet diet diet seriously.
The reason because I couldn’t stop myself was it was our first visit to newly opened buffet Chinese posh restaurant in the city centre. It was also Rudolf’s mom farewell dinner before she went back home – Malaysia.
Oh yeah… about this new restaurant. Its design was posh & gorgeous. Seriously. It was refurbished to fit its name – Water Dragon. I felt welcomed when I first arrived. 5 big wooden crafted chinese chair at reception. A couple of waterfall wall glass caught AJ’s attention, then a big wall painted with sea scenery and dragons.
Services were excellent. Moving to their food section. Yes, it’s eat-as-much-as-you-want service. They taste way better than Buffet City – another buffet restaurant in the city, honestly. Their food section includes Chinese, sushi section, lovely desert – cakes, mash mallows dip with choc & ice-creams and the interesting part is special dish of your choice freshly cooked. All just in one bundle price. No additional fee except the drinks la of course. Isnt’ it great?
Yeah...so basically, just get yourself fat in that restaurant eh? wahaha….the food was great. Fortunately, I didn’t have the desert else my diet plan is crushed. But I craved into the meaty dishes especially the prawns my favorite, a mussel (only one, I swear), 2 fried chicken, 2 prawn on toast, few scallops, noodles and lotsa veges. See…I’m watching my figure. Not bad eh? But I felt guilty not following my diet plan.
What I did 2 days ago was a serious felony (Oh no, I’m now a felon!), so I’m going to put myself on a naughty chair for 1 month. Even if I in a restaurant, I’ll just have vege to go with little rice. Promise! No more excuse. Vege Vege Vege!
***
OK la...I know I missed the photos of the week also. My loyal fans must be grunting. Sorry lo...I'll make sure I'll do it this weekend. Promise! And some very cute interesting photos...You'll laugh till you cried...smile from ear to ear....haha.....Till then...wahaha...

I now declared myself as carnitarian
To ensure that I’ll be looking good in my wedding reception next year, I’m starting a strict regime. Yes, thanks to Alice for her support. This is the best way I hope since I don’t have time to workout. Wake up 6:15, work 8 to 6, cook dinner, mother-and-son precious moments before his bedtime (8-ish), when he snoozes, bath, wash dishes, prepare our and AJ tomorrow’s lunches, left about 1 hour for homework and rest before bed. Fuh…very tight schedule.
When I told Jimmy yesterday that I’m going for vege until before cny next year, he went buahaha….buahaha….we shall see. I’ll prove to you that I’m carnitarian for the next 4 months. I’m not touching any meat from Monday to Friday. How’s that? Sounds good? So, vegetarian on the weekdays. Then one or two pieces of meat at weekend. Hehe….one month trial on this and we’ll see how it goes.
But…but…but…
So the meats is very persuasive….I can see them wailing “Take me, I’ll make sure you smile the next few hours” or “Eat me, you’ll be fat forever”
Too much…too tempting…I wonder if I can take it. Today is the graduation day for Davy, Clif and Hong Chuan, our Malaysian friends and we are invited for a family dinner in a restaurant tonight. Should I make an exception tonight? Wah…This is only the first diet day and yet I’m already going against it! Should I?
I think I’ll eat a little bit of meat but not too much and vege on Saturday. Jimmy’s gonna be like “Oi….I thought you’re vegetarian from today?” ah…I know…I’ll stormed all veges tonight. Yeah!!!
I’ll give you the updates on this later.

Meanwhile, I read a very interesting article. It looks so comfy and cute so I get meself a copy of the image to let you guys have a peek peek. Full article can be found here The dressed chicken

My first encounter with AJ (Part 2)
12th January 2008
7:30 AM. "Finally, we've got your result back." Sarah came in with the pretty doc again. "Your result came back normal. But I would like you to stay here for the night. Meanwhile you are here, we would like you to collect a 24 hour urine *yucks* to ensure everything is normal." said doc.
We were then sent up to Norfolk ward with 3 other expectant moms. Jimmy drove back home to continue his nap. Lucky him. My day was wasted by watching tv and collecting urine. Aaah....Bored!...I wished I was resting at home on my bed comfortably. Even the food was not that tasty. Jimmy came in shortly later in the evening. We ended up just watching TV together until the visiting hours finished. =.=
13th January 2008
2:35 AM. Time passed by really slowly. I was fortunate that I was able to sleep on the first night in hospital. But I was waken when I had a sudden pain on my back. Arggh...I still remember it. It was so painful that both my legs were cramped.
After 15 mins of non-stop pain, I called an on-duty midwife. Explained the situation. Do you know what she responded? "We can't be sure that it's the true contractions. I can get you some paracetamol if you can't bear with the pain."
Gosh, this is really annoying. How will I know it is the time if the midwife doesn't even know? I refused for the treatment, hoping that it will fade away at some point later by getting back to sleep.
4:00 AM. *White Flag* T___T. Took the paracetamols hoping that I can get some decent sleep. Aaaahhhh ~~~ It finally gets better.
10:15 AM. Back to the usual me. Waiting to give birth. Two on-duty doctors came in asked how I was doing. To my dismay, I was requested to stay for another day eventhough the urine collection result came back normal.
5:15 PM. I was watching tv when I felt something not right. Nope, not the pain. The contraction has been on and off today. I felt a large amount of discharges out of a sudden. Didn't bother much at first place.
Jimmy arrived shortly later. Went to toilet to check that everything's ok. My discharge was brownish instead of red blood previously. Alert the midwife immediately. I was right. My water broke!
"Congratulations. It's your baby's first poo. Which means you could be giving birth any minute. Let me arrange you to go down to the labour ward.", she smiled.
Jimmy widened his eyes after I told him. We packed our bags and getting ready for the war. Then out of a sudden, I felt really really freezingly cold but the room was damn hot! So I wear my thick jacket to warm myself.
6:30 PM. A midwife came in with a monitor device. My temperature was 39oC! Fever but I'm still shaking. She later explained, "The labour ward is currently full. So you might need to stay here for a bit longer." =.= "With your temperature, there's a risk. You need to cool yourself down. If this goes higher, you could have a still birth. I'll get you paracetamols to cool down. Meanwhile, I need to monitor your contractions and baby's heart rate while you're here." *Sigh* Why does delivering baby so risky one?
8:15 PM. Still stuck in Norfolk ward. My butt was getting more cramped due to immobility since in monitor. The most disgrace thing was I "broke wind" in the room with the other expectant moms. =.=. *paiseh...paiseh* Needless to say, my contractions became stronger and stronger by minutes. I was crying out of the pain. T___T
8:35 PM. Finally! I walked myself down slowly to the labour ward. Had to stop everynow and then when there is a contraction. So difficult to walk at that stage. It took me 20 minutes to actually reach the labour ward. Normally just 5 minutes!
8:55 PM. Changed to the hospital nightie as soon as I get there. Nicky introduced herself as we met. Without wasting anytime, she checked my temperature (38oC), baby's position (well-positioned), dilations (4 cm), baby's heart rate (normal), contractions (3 every 10 minutes) and blood pressure (don't know!).
Nicky later asked me to start pushing. "One more push, Margaret. Give me one more push. You can do it!" She kept saying that again and again, I thought how many one more push I should give?
What! Didn't expect the pushing part so soon. I couldn't because of the pain. I had gas and air (purely oxygen) to breath through my mouth. But got sleepy and dizzy that I couldn't respond to Nicky. Didn't have energy to push even!
Nicky then asked for the breather to be taken away so that I can push it with my own energy. Somehow I got used with pain and with all energy that I have, I keep pushing and pushing.
When the baby's head is coming out, I was really in pain (Only moms who given birth know the pain). But as soon as the baby's head is out, the rest (baby's body and placenta) came out easily. I was taking really long breaths when the baby was successfully delivered. But got worried when I didn't hear him cry.
You must be guessing that the doctor have to pat his butt to make him cry. Not anymore nowadays. The doctor carried the baby to a big noisy machine as soon as Nicky cut his umbilical cord. Then the doc used a tube to suck the fluid from the baby's nose to let him breath using his nose for first time. Then, he cried. I smiled weakly. Jimmy smiled. His heart rate, skin color and temperature were checked before was wraped with a warm blankett and handed over to us for the first cuddle.
11:57 PM. Everyone! Let me introduce to you all, my first son, Adrian James Ling. After almost 3 hours of pushing, we finally met AJ. He was so cute and starred at us without blinking his eyes. Bless him. Won't forget our first moments.
Here are some photos:
Q: So, am I going for another one? A: "Yes, if financial allows but in the next few years."
Q: Aren't you scare with the pain? A: "Yes, but I forgot the pain immediately after I hear the baby's first cry"
p.s. many many thanks to my dearest, Jimmy for being at my side all the time.

My first encounter with AJ (Part 1)
Ok. I admit that my first post was as boring as ever. So I decided to share with you my experience of giving birth for the first time.
******** Here comes the true event ******
"One more push, Margaret. Give me one more push. You can do it!" said Nicky, the midwife in charge of my labour that night.
"OMG, this is really painful. How long is this going to take? I wonder how my mom can give birth to four of us so easily as I'm struggling with my first one." I thought while pushing in pain. Well, three to be fair, another one was delivered thro' C-section.
12th JAN 2008
4.00 AM.I was 6 days late from the expected date. With contractions of every 5 minutes (as according to the pregnancy bible), I wake Jimmy up and informed the maternity ward to tell my situation. I went to the hospital with my ready-packed bag. I was ushered into a delivery room when I reach the labour ward.
Karen (a kind Malaysian midwife), took my blood pressure again and again, then my temperature. I thought, my blood pressure must have been shooting high just like previously. She had two devices attached to my big stomach, one to examine the baby's heart rate and another to check my contractions. "Yes, it is every five minutes but we can't be sure that it is the time yet."
4.40AM. She made her excuse to get a doctor. Half an hour later, the contractions were not as often as before. "Doh. False alarm again", my instincts said. While waiting for the doctor, out of a sudden Jimmy stood up and walked to the device on my right. With his "doctor" smile, he examined the outcome of the graph resulted from the baby's heart rate and my contractions. Within minutes, he talked professionally (a doctor-wannabe but ended up becoming an engineer), "I think we might be heading home this time again, dear. False alarm". I nodded slowly and gave a weak smile.
5:20 AM. My contractions has weakened. Then, came in a new midwife (I called her Sarah - Don't blame me for forgetting her name). "Morning, Karen has finished her shift so I will be taking care of you from this point onwards. Let me check your blood pressure and temperature." She examined the graph while listening to my story. Then, she left. "Weird. Really weird. This visit has taken longer time than before. Normally, I will be discharged by this time." Silence...
6:05 AM. A Japanese doctor came in with Sarah. She's a pretty doctor, I said to Jimmy in Chinese. Jimmy replied, "You bet she is". Sarah checked my blood pressure and temperature again while the doctor read my file. The doc asked if I felt any dizzyness and further weird questions. She later explained that my blood pressure is still shooting high (146/90) and could lead to pre-ecclampsia, ecclampsia at later stage. I will turn into comma state and died if this is not treated. T_____T Blah blah blah...
Doc assured everything will be ok and wanted my blood sample taken for further laboratory examination. "This could take about an hour for the result to come back." As expected..."Meanwhile, your contractions has slowed down. Sarah, please examine Margaret's dilations and make a sweep if needed." She smiled and left.
Sarah, "Your contractions has slowed down. Your dilations is about 3 cm, which is good. I'll do a 'sweep'". Paused.. "Aaaahhhh, your baby's hair is very bushy and he's facing either to your right or left." she continued. "Oooh, he's kicking, isn't he?" I smiled and nodded. "Humn...he doesn't like me touching him. He keeps turning his head around."
7:30 AM. "Finally, I've got your result back."
