'R.I.P' window

Thump! It felt like an earthquake. AJ dropped something? But shouldn't be felt like earthquake. Worrying sick wanting to know what happened, I had a peek look outside. Nothing-leh. Then I went to find where's AJ and what he's doing. and the next thing I saw was this...

closer look

Close your mouth. close your mouth.

We didn't know how it happened. Hubby tried to open the window to let the fresh air inside. The next thing he knew was the window went bang! RIP window T.T. Apparently the hinges went off even though it was just fixed 6 months ago. It's obvious that the repairman didn't completed it very nicely.

We had Ken over to help as hubby couldn't carry the heavy window and fixed it by himself. I watched helplessly because I myself don't have that kind of man energy and had to take care of AJ at the same time. Fortunately, we had the scafffolding outside (because of the repaint work) else the window will be smashed and the temporary framework managed to catch it in the nick of time. And then we would be sleeping with our eyes open with the open wide window tonight. T.T
Thanks to the framework, hubby and Ken managed to resurrect it temporarily
CPR - removing the hinges knob

Life-support machine - Ken connected the window to the hinges using long screws while hubby giving all his energy carrying the heavy window
wah...secured at last. At least we had it closed while our landlady get it repaired. Phew~~~

What a day. Thanks Ken for your big help!!!

OK. Enough of the 'soi' stuff. AJ had his photos taken by the professionals 2 weeks ago and they are sooo lovely I tell you! Honest. I'm not exaggerating. See them yourself. My cute sweet AJ~~~
chinese new year costume specially bought by his gugu, Alice
black & white style

And oh oh oh...Not to forget also...HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL DADDY IN THE WORLD. MY ENDLESS LOVE ESPECIALLY TO APOLLO, AH BUI AND AJ'S DAD, MY HUBBY.

Smiley vs Cry-ley

^_^ Come & go: I know some of you may have noticed that my blog layout was changed a few days ago and is now changed back to its original-self. I didn’t like much of the new layout due to its broken links and I was kinda miss the old layout, so I decided to stick to the old layout for a while. Might change the background colour though. It’s too dark and dull I felt sometimes but mystery though. So, I might change to a bright colour in the next few days. Oh well…maybe not. Haha…Don’t know why I’m undecisive nowadays.

^_^ Record breaking: I didn’t listen to radio at work today! Shocking, right? I used to listen to radio everyday and I thought I might be going to be very sleepy in the afternoon but wasn’t afterall! Probably I was concentrating too much at my work. As long as I’m occupied with work, I can live without radio. Oh well...maybe I’ll go back to listening to radio again to keep me awake if it happens again. Again, undecisive. =.=

^_^ New routine: I should have blog-ed this last week but I couldn’t find a suitable time to do it as I was trying to get used with this new routine. It was a new routine for all 3 of us. As you know, Sporty left us about 3 weeks ago (I still miss Sporty T.T), we depend very heavily on our two legs now, leaving hubby walking, pushing the pushchair, sending AJ to Bambinos, his new nursery and having me to pick AJ up after walk. I love to get AJ after work which makes me counting the hours left at the office every single day. Funny enough, it does motivates me by completing my work within office hours and getting groceries done at my ½ hour lunch.

T.T New nursery: AJ was crying so poorly when he went to Bambinos on his first day. T.T I didn’t see him crying so I was OK but hubby went heartache and preparing to take the day off if AJ couldn’t settle in the nursery that day. He was still crying a bit the next few days as the place is fairly new for him and almost cried everytime he saw me outside the window after work. And I’m proudly to let you guys know that AJ is now fully adapted with the new nursery when hubby dropped him off this morning. Shedding not a single tears! Bravo! Bravo!

T.T Bon voyage, mate: Ruddy is leaving Plymouth tomorrow to London, off to Barcelona for a few days before going back to Malaysia until he sorted his stuff. It’s talking for maybe 2-3 months until we will see Ruddy next time. He planned to stay for the summer and Val to come over for a few months holiday. I couldn’t wait to see Val, to be honest. And kinda disappointed to the fact that Val won’t be here. Not sure when I’ll be meeting Val again soon. I miss you, Val! And Rudolf! I’m sure AJ will too. Rudolf is coming over again tomorrow for for a short chit chat before leaving for his long summer holiday. *jealous*

^_^ Hello, Samsung Tocco: Hubby bought a new phone yesterday. It’s a SAMSUNG TOCCO LITE. All touch screen except for accept call, reject call and back button. It’s so high tech. I like when the phone has 3 wallpaper which you could change at any time. So Cool~~~ Thanks to me, hubby finally bought it. His old Motorola is not working properly now. I went fuming everytime when I was to use his phone. The 0 keypad can’t be pressed at all! Actually, he was planning to look see look see at the phone store of what phone he really wants. As I know his stingy type, I am certain to make him buying the phone at the very same day and I did it by saying let’s see the phone first and feel it with our own hand. And he bought the Tocco one which I liked the most compared to LG Viewty, LG cookie and the other one which I can’t remember now. Not important though so why should I remember it! Haha *jealous*

4 smiles and 2 sad-ley. Not bad not bad. 2 jealous but extremely jealous with the last one. Make me hand itchy every now and then. Humph….

I love you, Rudolf!

Ok, let me be clear first as you know rumours (especially the fake) spreads really fast. I’m not having affair with Rudy nor having any marital problem with hubby nor family problem with my in-laws nor having mother & son problem with AJ. So Val, close your wide open eye and mouth or maybe you’re start laughing already haha….same thing goes to you, hubby.

Today is our first official working day CAR-LESS I repeat CAR-LESS!!! I couldn’t imagine how we can cope without Rudy’s help. If you’re reading my previous post, Sporty left us because he has a good offer from his new owner. Who would ever give up the only chance being famous and handsome as long as he lives? I believe he’s all equipped with 18” rim set of tyres and probably with leather seat. Cool~~~ I miss you Sporty.

Ok, AJ is changing to a new nearer nursery for our convenience starting next month. As our insurance expired tomorrow and as we can’t be bothered to pay for another year of car insurance, we decided to sell Sporty. The plan went smoothly and I’m indeed very proud of the smooth progress. Of course, thanks to me for managing the project so well. *hidung tinggi* tsk tsk tsk….

We are well aware of the hassle without Sporty, especially to get to AJ’s daycare which is about 10 minutes drive from where we live. And it’s not until beginning of next month that he’s going to a nearer daycare about 10 minutes walk. So we kinda ‘forced’ Rudy in a nice way of course, asked for Rudy’s help to be exact :P, to accommodate us with the car transport until the end of this month. Just to send us to work and AJ to daycare and of course subject to his availability and car availability. He will be picking hubby and AJ up later in the evening leaving me to walk home. I’m fine with the walking. A bit of exercise for me…haha…Rudy said he can see my little wee bit stomach bump…not pregnant, though. xD

Rudy’s car is now converted to a family car with a proper baby on board sign and car seat. Now he could just park his car at a wide car space strictly for parent & toddler parking area at Tesco for grocery shopping and the best thing is it’s near to the entrance and sometimes within sheltered area.

Poor Rudy, he has to wake up so early in order to help us. But I’m sure he doesn’t mind. If anyone is wondering who is Rudy - the face behind the mask. Everyone, this is him I'm talking about.
FYI, the big guy

Thanks Rudy! Thanks a lot! I love you from the bottom of my heart. Although you know you can't be the top as AJ is always the top, then hubby, then family la, la la la at least you're in my heart...always and forever. Your help mean a lot for me. A million million thankxxxxx.

Unfortunately, I’m married already and my sister is too young for you, Alice is taken already and what the heck, Rudy you yourself have already taken. Don’t beat me. girls! :P

Rudy is planning to sell his car before his car insurance expired which is the end of this month. Anyone interested with Peugeot 307 (2005) White 5 door hatchback diesel approx 95K miles in good condition? Not available for sale transfer for the next 6 working day though (till 28th). Tsk tsk tsk..I’m just being selfish..no la….seriously, who’s interested, let me know and I’ll pass your message across. If the sale goes well, I’m sure he wants to get it done before his car insurance expired.

6 more working days and counting….then on the 1st of June, AJ is going to a new daycare in his pushchair with hubby pushing before going to the bus stop to go to his office and having me to pick him up after work. Woohoooo! Can’t wait!

How we spend our weekend

Right, I know it has been a while since my last post. It’s not that I didn’t want to write but I don’t have any interesting topics to “brag” about. When you read this post, this means otherwise lo..haha...

So, let’s get on, shall we?

We went to Exeter this morning. It was Rudolf’s idea, he was looking for a golf club as the JJB sports store in Exeter has a golf club testing facility. And since he was looking for someone to go with him, since hubby is also interested to get a full set of golf clubs himself, since we don’t have any interesting plan to do other than stuck at home goyang kaki (doing nothing).

JJB wasn’t open when we reach there, so we went to the store next to it – TKMaxx. And I saw this lovely blue and white beautiful evening dress (£49.99). The moment, I laid my eye on it, I was saying to myself “Wah...this is definitely a dress I would go for for my wedding” haha...I didn’t mean for a second wedding. Certainly not. I did bought a dress at the same price so I’m satisfied. I’m just trying to point out that I would definitely buy this dress as my second wedding dress. Haha...

Anyway...JJB next...While the guys are window shopping, I then...hehehe \grin
hmm...which one should I go for?

let me down...I wanna choosing my golf club
haha...I love this pic. he's so cute
While Rudy's busy choosing his driver
AJ and daddy are choosing the right junior golf club
Testing testing...
put some power in, then swing....
not to forget...a picture ...nice~~~

We didn't buy any in the end. The boys said it would be more cheaper to buy online. So, we went back to Plymouth afterwards. It was just a 3 hours trip and was around lunch time when we reach Plymouth, we went to Kaoshi - a new Japanese restaurant in the city.
==" can't believe it when the drinks arrived. small but £££ T_T
Rudy's chicken ramen soup
My special ramen soup - very fresh prawn
the rest of the gang had bento
and Kok Fung - apologies for the quality

The food were nice but the price are quite dear. Definitely a no no next time. I don't really know how can they survive in this kind of economy. But maybe they're full in the evening, we never know, do we?

That's what we did today. No photos for yesterday but a video for you all to enjoy - AJ's favorite games he really loved. There're 4 parts taken on Friday evening, yesterday morning, afternoon and evening. Enjoy!

We shall meet again

Today, we had dinner (lunch) with a bunch of friends. They are those we met in Plymouth. Through the old good times. Cliff, a funny handsome guy from Ipoh is going back home 2 days before our departure day. We have known each other for more than 3 years.

He's funny. So funny. Full with jokes and always pick on someone purposely (with no harm intention) on each night when we gather together. When there's a gathering, he'll be the most entertaining joker. Trust me. Everyone will be going home so happy. haha...I like him a lot. The way he jokes make my tummy hurts.

He's leaving UK, return to his family arms in 3 days time. So, we had last gathering dinner with Cliff before he's off. Here comes a few snap shots when i'm free.

That's that. Here comes AJ.

We shall meet again, Cliff! Safe journey. We'll miss you and take care...

Reunion with Val

I know I should have post these photos sooner but it was on Rud's camera and only got the photos today.

As mentioned from previous post, me and AJ met Val last Friday and had lunch at Noodles Lounge. We chat and chat and chat and chat. So lovely and nice. The next day, off we went to Noodles Lounge again with the lads. haha...our hangout place is now the Noddle lounge which just open a few months ago. The restaurant is small yet cosy and their food is lovely as well. Affordable and nice presentation.

The purpose of the meeting was to celebrate Val's brithday. It's a surprise for her...sweet~~~ and here comes the photos
#1/ The tiramisu cake - Happy belated birthday, Val!

AJ got a GirlFriend!

Curse the weather forecast! We originally planned to organise BBQ today before the summer ends. Unfortunately, it had to be called off because of that lousy forecaster predicted that it will be a rainy Sunday. It was indeed gloomy in the morning but the sky went shiny blue till late evening. =.=

But then, the day was not wasted after all. Yes, today we met Carol, Dylan & their 6 months old Chloe. Finally, I get to meet the little cute baby girl I talked about previously. Haha... we talked non-stop & basically everything. Baby care, baby talks, baby meals, families, careers, you name it! Except weather. I couldn't believe it myself also. It was like we just met yesterday (since March in London).

We originally reunited at Curva Cafe in Drake Circus, and then we took them to Plymouth Hoe & Barbican. Next, dinner at the New China Garden Chinese restaurant. Chloe is so cute! Especially at her meal time. ^_^ I enjoyed watching her having her solid food. But she's shy. Cried whenever I tried to play or hold her. She's seems fine for a few seconds with Jimmy. T___T Am I that scary?

After dinner, we went back to my home & took few photos & a video AJ with Chloe together. Because of the time when the video was taken, Chloe looked a little upset & sleepy. Yet, she's still so cute. ^_^ I am so proud of AJ when he befriend Chloe. Sayang her when she’s upset. Comfort her when she cried by hugging her. In return, she also sayang him. So adorable~~~~ They even hold hands together. The funny one was AJ smiled after he held Chloe’s hand. First time he hold a girl’s hand, wor..haha…

Dylan & Carol both are very sweet couple. We took a few photos together but on their camera. Will only get it when they're back to London. Will post it when I got the chance. But I couldn't resist to share with you all first of how AJ & Chloe got so well together.

#1/ AJ comforting Chloe

#2/ Everyone, the video

Too bad they couldn’t stay too long for they need to get back to their hotel – about 1 – 1.5 hours driving, to rest before getting back to London tomorrow. It was a short encounter but we all enjoyed it. I have learned a lot from Carol about baby stuff. Very comprehensive. SWEET!

Hoorah! AJ got a friend but she lives hundred miles away. Dylan, Carol and Chloe, it was lovely to meet you. Safe journey back to London and we’ll meet again someday.

^_^

Jerome, my bro-in-law, just forward an email which I'd like to share with you all this funny but interesting and very meaningful article. Thanks Jerome.

Father: I want you to marry a girl of my choice
Son: 'I will choose my own bride!'
Father: 'But the girl is Bill Gates's daughter.'
Son: 'Well, in that case...ok'

Next Father approaches Bill Gates.
Father: 'I have a husband for your daughter.'
Bill Gates: 'But my daughter is too young to marry!'
Father: 'But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank.'
Bill Gates: 'Ah, in that case...ok'

Finally Father goes to see the president of the World Bank.
Father: 'I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president.'
President: 'But I already have more vice- presidents than I need!'
Father: 'But this young man is Bill Gates's son-in-law.'
President: 'Ah, in that case...ok
This is how business is done!!

Moral: Even If you have nothing, you can get anything. But your attitude should be positive.
***

OK, that's that. I've some new photos for you to enjoy. Tadah...

Haha...you must have thought AJ's seems different in those photos. Way lots different, mate. She's not AJ, ok? Chloe is her name.

I've just got back in touch with a friend whom I meet once. We only met for a few hours, max 3 hours at Malaysian Embassy in London. It was in March when we had to get up to London office to register AJ as Malaysian citizen then get him a passport and renew my passport. She too came with her husband and baby Chloe, whom is just a month younger than AJ, for the same purpose. You may be surprised but we get along very quickly..haha...probably due to mother instinct =.=

We seldom get in touch though ...you know lar, busy with each other's baby. ^_^ Forget that...as I just received her email & few photos of her beautiful daughter. Very very very cute! Wahaha....Super dupa cute! She's so cute that I couldn't resist to let you guys to have a peek.

I love the first one especially. Sexy lips! Woot~~~ Haha...Not that I don't like AJ. AJ's also cute & handsome. This just make me want to get another girl of my own only... but not now...wait....wait...wait till AJ gets older & our financial is stable enough.

They are planning for holiday in Cornwall soon. And will be visiting us soon which I can get to meet the beautiful Chloe in-person. AJ will also be very excited also. Wahaha....=X

Ah Jen - Sayonara & Gambate

Two days ago, I met a new friend. He introduced himself as ah Jen, self-proclaimed macho man and known to Alice as Siti SyJen. Such a small world it is, when we came from same hometown and only met in so far away place. To our surprise, he knew my younger brother and I knew his elder brother.

His trip in Plymouth was short but we managed to make the most of Plymouth. Just in case, if you're wondering who is this guy I'm talking about, this is who he is.

We took a lot of photos but they were all in SyJen's camera. And he forgot to bring the most important thing, the usb cable to transfer the photos to my computer. I only had this photo taken from my mobile. Sorry ah Jen!

More clearer photo of him can be found here http://dejavu-world.blogspot.com/2008/07/what-i-am-up-to-these-few-days.html.

A lawyer-to-be will be going back his homeland soon to reunite with his family and future wife. Ah Jen, we enjoyed your company here. So, here sincerely, I would like to wish him all the best and look forward to his help if I'm in trouble. Choi! Choi! Choi! Dai Kat Lai Shi.

Ah Jen, Gambate!!!

p.s. He's no more golf virgin. Hoorah for Ah Jen!
