yuhooo

yo yo yo....have been really occupied for the past few days. If you came from my sis's post "All about him", yes, those were our daily endless tasks, which includes of entertaining our big boss, AJ. So instead of talking repeatingly about AJ today, I'm going to write about food we had on Xmas eve. It's sooo delicious that we'll definitely go there again.

Trust me. You couldn't resist them yourself. Even with your 200% full stomach. and you'll definitely get your hands dirty on first glance. It was already 10 ish when we brought my family to 101 for a light supper. We thought to have just light LIGHT SUPER LIGHT as I'm watching my diet and surprisingly, my dad ordered a lot back after just a few minutes visits at the stalls. I don't really know the real name though so I'm naming them myself. Ladies & gentlemen, boys & girls...

the siput bakar (aka grilled snails)

fork out the meat using a sharp end stick

mix with your saliva then chew before swallow. yum yum...

fed by our big boss, AJ

super duper fresh grilled fish

not forgetting also, AJ have his milk showing off his new shoes by his cute Gma

AJ spent the rest of the evening running non-stop with the kids footcan-ing at an wide open space. He was forced to be taken back into the car, sweating heavily. I have to admit, he's an energetic kid. Pretty sure it's from the milk. ==" Ciao...Marge

Hepi Krismas everyone

As you have known, it was Winter Solstice just a few days ago and we make the tang yuen ourselves. Hubby as usual, the chef on the special day. It's very easy task. trust me, this can be done within an hour. The main ingredients are glutinuous rice flour, peanuts or soy bean flour & water.

Both of us as the audience

pour the flour into bowl - not too much nor less

the chef shows off his big belly - one whole big full of happiness :P

pour a small amount of water. enough to make it as soft dough

mix well

closer view

then make small dough. size up to your taste

cooked under boiling water for a minute or two then mix with the peanut flour. yum yum...success!

On an unrelated note, you may have noticed that my blog has been spammed with ridiculous useless comments so I, like Alice, have decided to change how it works from now on. I'll be reviewing for any comments submitted before publish to public. Just for everyone's sake.

And oh oh oh....it's christmas eve alright & like everyone else, we would like to wish you everyone a CHRISTMAS EVE & HAPPY HOLIDAYS. Wish you all filled with endless joy & excellent health always. WITH MY FAMILY...HERE...IN KUCHING...YESH!!! hiak! hiak! hiak!

yes, my family is here in Kuching for a few days holiday and I am enjoying the family gathering now which we haven't been have it for years years back. It's very merry...wahaha..with my mom's home cook meals. always delicious as before.

The day I've longed for...

I'm smiling from ear to ear. A very special day indeed. teehee... It's a public holiday norm to all malaysian but I'm super duper happy because we make use of this day......shopping. well, that's not the main point. It's a family day indeed which we all have been looking forward too. A relaxing day with no rush here & there, no heat wave, the whole half day in The Spring. Both hubby and I were working ever since we arrived Kuching and tired due to exhausting endless tasks and I especially feeling guilty for not been spending much time with AJ lately, mom & son together.

So at The Spring...Gosh...Xmas is around the corner and The Spring is just like any other malls decorated for the Xmas festive. And AJ was over the moon already. haha...
ooo...feel the warmth already...
AJ loved it
he too smiling from ear to ear...I was lucky to snap this
AJ is not looking forward for the family photo. Got too excited with the santa
Two big xmas tree by the escalator

We spent hours in the mall just because of the cool air really. It's a day outside but the heat wave, we couldn't stand it basically. So we rather spend the day in the mall eventhough we're wondering aimlessly for hours. We managed to loan a pushchair for free as long as we took good care & return it in good order. AJ couldn't wait to sit in the pushchair the moment he saw it. I bet he missed it since he grew up with it. haha...

As we're wondering in the mall, we saw something that we really fancied.
Hubby's
& mine

What do you think of my purse? Chosed it myself & it's a gift from hubby. I've been looking for a specific purse and when I saw this, it's exactly to my taste plus the discount, I took it immediately without a second thought. hehe....Thanks, dear. Love it and will pour my endless love to CR. Not forgetting AJ, we got him a new chinese new year clothes. I know it's still early but since I saw one that's suitable and it's on discount so why not. It's not for public eye until that day comes. hehe...

We're still looking for our own chinese new year clothes. Boy, it has been ages since our last spending on CNY clothes. Not sure what I'm looking for actually but I'm aiming to get some that will also be suitable for normal / work wearing. Will keep on hunting for the right one indeed! The sale is there and may there be continuous sale till Chinese New Year.

We headed towards another mall but didn't stayed there too long because it's too hot in there. All of us were sweating! For goodness sake, we went back home afterwards.

So all in all, it was a good day afterall. Boy, I do hope that we could spend everyday like this as a family. Well, not on spending money too much though.

he's all set

Ít's UCSI open day today so I accompanied Jerome to UCSI university this morning. It's raining, alright but we're not put back by the bad weather. hehe..And we're the first to arrive!! Because we were the first visitors, we're on everyone's eye. They open at 9 and we arrived at 9:02 am. haha...I thought it's best to arrive early to avoid crowds as I don't like to squeeze myself in the crowd just to get a few minutes sessions with the lecturers. Plus being the first always allows us to ask as many questions as we can even they're ridiculous.

Jerome got himself a place for a place for A-level course for January intake. We met a few lecturers and the programme leader who coordinates the A-level programme. Asked general questions to know more in detail about the A-level. And it's all done within half an hour.

Then we're given free refreshment in their newly-open cafeteria. Although we're full after heavy breakfast just half an hour ago but since it's free I don't mind. sit there and chit chat with one of the administrators there. haha...I asked a lot like I'm the person studying not Jerome >.<

Then a free car wash...whoosh!!! First car of the day! Spot the purple umbrella at the right corner? It's my new umbrella. Cute leh...

The car wasn't 100% clean though. The car washer boy left out one side dirty. So it's half cleaned. T.T Then then...I saw a few small scratches. T.T So, never take things for granted. Freebies aren't always that good though.

Anyway...Jeromé is all set. I bet he can't wait to go back to study life. He's all excited....haha....

The "talak tiga"

As mentioned from the previous post, AJ had a talak tiga not too long ago. Here’s the full story.

It happened on one night. AJ has been using the same brand since he was several months old and it’s like his loyal wife. She follows him everywhere. She comforts him when he’s upset. She makes him go to sleep. She eases his pain when he’s not feeling well. He would be really upset if he saw me taking away his wife so I only do that without him noticing…you know to give her a hot bath. He won’t leave her behind if he goes out. Basically she’s everything to him.

Everyone…jeng jeng jeng…She is none other than silicone teats dummy by Avent. He’ll noticed the differences when I changed to a new dummy especially of different colour eventhough they’re from the same brand. He would raised his eyebrows and give it a few seconds thoughts before actually accepting his ‘new wife’.

I have actually thinking of get rid of the wife sometime soon. Yes, obviously I’m jealous because she’s absolutely replacing my position in his heart and I felt challenged!!!….grrr…..

OK, anyway researchers claimed that dummy plays a part in speaking development. Having dummy in the mouth all the time stops him from speaking properly and this could cause late speaking at later stage. Some leading to slur speaking also. This is quiet scary you know. It’s one of the many concerns for each mom. So I decided I need to get the divorce settlement finalized soon before she’s taking over him although I know the dummy is a comfort to him.

I asked my friends previously the best way to cut off the dummy. One solution is to cut the teats to make him sucking nothing. Or dip the teats with durian paste so that he’ll find it taste funny. Bla blab la…I’m not sure how effective they are but I kinda reluctant to cut the teat if in case the plan doesn’t work or I sound so horrible by dipping the teat into the durian paste as I know it’s like forcing myself eating something I don’t like. So I haven’t really thought of the best solution.

Furthermore, there was no exact date as of when to finalise the divorce since he was obviously still in love with her. T.T He’s soooo into her every second. He never fed up with her! There were several occasions where they both got into fight and he threw her away (sounds horrible, right?) but that only lasts for a few minutes. They’re inseparable, I tell you!!!

Then on a Thursday last month, I decided that it’s time to replace his worn wife with a new young beautiful wife from Jusco. I wasn’t sure at first if he’ll take it since he’s No.1 fan of Avent products but it’s still made from silicone just comes with a slightly different shape. That night, I simply throw the old grumpy wife, who threatened my position in AJ’s circle, into the bin without a second thought. Talak 2. Who ask her to offend a lovely beautiful young mother-in-law?

Few minutes later when AJ asked for his wife whereabouts, I introduced the new young wife. The small and short yet lavish wedding ceremony went well. AJ met her for the first time and who knows 10 miliseconds later, he rejected the new Mrs Ling. To my shock, he pushed her away every time I introduced her to him. He went crying immediately. “Give me back my wife. Where’s she? You killed her? Get her back. I want her back! Alive! Now! At this moment!”

No, I hate the old grumpy wife so I’m certainly not going to persuade her to come back. Not a chance! I insisted the new one but he kept pushing her away. Each time! Then blink! comes a big 75 watt bulb on top of my head saying this could actually work. A totally good timing for the full divorce, talak tiga.

The theory seems so solid. It’s a solution alright but comes another problem. As I’ve said before, he sleeps with his wife. So that night, AJ found it difficult to go to bed without her. He wailed for her until he fell asleep. Poor little fella. I had to carry him till he fall asleeps. Then he would wake up in the middle of the night looking for his wife. The next day, I said to myself, if this is getting worse, I’ll get him the Avent back. What to do? It’s the King AJ we’re talking about. But he has to wait until Saturday since the product can only be bought in Poppies in the Spring or Mummycares in Crown Square. So I have about 3 nights for the experiment.

First night was horrible. The second day was ok but night was still a bit struggling. The staff at nursery also complained about rejecting his new wife. He found it hard to go to sleep without his wife. But I insist to use this golden chance to get rid of his wife once and for all. Just give me a few days. I know it will works (actually 50-50 only). He looked tired and so was hubby and I, all because of sleep deprivation. It will always be the new wife each time he asked for it. The tiredness asked me to give up, half of me said I have get him the Avent. But the other half of me said to wait for a few more days. Reason being he started to look more chatty without his wife.

On 4th night, amazingly, he slept through the night. I woke up fresh. That was the first night I sleep through the night after suffering 22 months of broken sleeps. Surprisingly, AJ got used without having his wife around. He seems to forget about it. Whola….

IT WORKS! IT WORKS! *dancing around under the joyful rain*

AJ is now off the soothers. 100%! Thank God. Very chatty now indeed. In his own language. A o e a a a a a da di be bu blab la…very energetic voices.

You should use this method if you’re planning to have your children off the dummy aka the wicked wife. Hehe…

For the record, I still keep the new wife in case he wants it again and will pushed it away when he saw this latest wife. This wife is going to be with him for the next few years ago. Yeah baby, I like her. A lot! Hahah…

But leh comes a new problem. He keeps moving around a lot before he goes to sleep which annoys us because he would bump me or hubby’s head blindly. Then we can’t really sleep peacefully until he fall asleep. Hubby has already suggesting getting him back to dummy. I must think a new solution to make him snooze faster. Come on. Think! Think! Think!

Blue Monday

Had iced lemon tea & chicken floss mee for supper yesterday night & ended up having broken sleepless nights yesterday. T.T I knew it! I knew it! How can I be so stupid by drink caffeine drink at night knowing that I’ll be awake for the whole night after that? Oh dear…this is the most stupid mistake of the day, isn’t it?

With just a drop of the caffeine, it made me staying awake all night and yes, it’s frustrating having the need to go to work the next day with the lack of sleep!

The good thing is I’m not alone..kekeke….Jimmy too…buahaha…while AJ sleeping soundly & peacefully at one corner with lying on his stomach & drooling somemore! I was wondering what he’s dreaming about? So both of us ended up turning around on the bed trying to get some sleep.

We managed to get to sleep... it was nearly 2 or 2 something I believed. Peaceful sleep at last then suddenly, AJ cried every few minutes in dawn. Argggh!!!! I was nearly on the verge to bump me head to the wall because I couldn't sleep properly.

Why AJ cried? He has been coughing for the past few days and it's getting worse. Broken nights for him meaning he has difficulty in breathing. meaning flu. flu & cough. Poor little fella.

*shyet* Mom & Cute ma are going to be upset seeing this. Then they'll go...eh siang lo, zho mian ti lou pan? neh neh neh bla bla bla....yeah..I shouldn't have said it, but I have already said it soooo whatever....

Rest assured, visited doc and confirmed sore throat. So medicine for the rest of the week.

I took a few photos using my phone just now but I just realised I don't have the right cable to transfer them to my computer. ==" What a day.

10 things you love about AJ

From inside out. Unfortunately, no pictures taken at the time it happened (I’ll explain next time)…use your imagination \wink

  1. A talented actor :: He imitates cat’s voice each time he sees a cat and it’s perfect! Miaw~~~~
  2. Unspeakable runner :: If he saw me going out through the back door or front door, he runs at his highest speed (10km/hour) like he’s chasing his fast-rolling penny, making sure he gets there on time before the door closed. At the time which this happened, he’s only down to his nappy.
  3. Mr Knows-it-all :: He knows it’s time to go out when he heard the sounds of the keys and would stop everything he’s doing / dropping whatever he’s holding. He knew it’s tired walking up & down the stairs, so he would sit there until you carries him to the other end.
  4. Loved by all teachers in the nursery :: His character, curly hair, “scolding” speech. He is praised for his cute character & good behaviour, finishing his meals. On each evening when I pick him up, I received good comments about him. Oh..there's only one so far when he didn't finished his meals.
  5. The cute side :: On really rare occasions, he would waves goodbye to me when I dropped him off at the nursery. Only 3 times for the time being. He’s sooooo cute whenever he waves at me.
  6. The cool side :: He ignores me when I waves goodbye at the drop-off. He would purposely looks at other places, not making eye-contact at me. T.T
  7. Don’t mess with me, mate :: He shows his tantrum, crying, scolding the teacher when the teacher called his name at nearer to home time thinking that I’ve arrived to pick him up when it’s not. He thought his car has arrived at the nursery but it turns out to be his friend’s car. This also happened when he saw his friend going home one by one. Don’t play play huh…
  8. The kind & gentle side :: when he saw me helping Jimmy’s grandmother to her chair or down the stairs or when I asked him to carry something at the store, he would lend a hand. You should see the way he tried to help. Blessed~~~
  9. The rebellious side :: You asked him to throw something into a bin, he hides it in the cupboard. haha
  10. The divorce settlement :: which is the best thing of all, he’s no longer sucking to his dummy. The divorce (talak tiga) to his “wife” was finalized last week. Woots…This happened on an incident. I’ll share with you all the experience in the next post.

ahoy

Hi everyone...

am still alive for sure! Zzzzzzillions of apologies.

I know I know...it has been long time since I last update. How long was it? 2K years! gosh, has that been so long already? I guess I have to admit that I was busy with everything...AJ with dengue fever, driving for 5 hours in Kuching, sorting AJ’s nursery arrangement, house moving, house cleaning, home furnishing, adapting to my new work environment..busy busy busy. 24 hours a day is definitely not enough for me.

Right, I'm not going to make this post boring by talking endlessly about things for the past 2k years...I’m not going to make my blog smelly shooing you guys away forever. Instead, I’m going to enlightening you all with some pictures you’ve been waiting for.
here's the latest family photo
a birthday cake from Lik Jian, our good friend whom AJ loves his company all the time
cutting the cake - me or AJ?
AJ: it's mine!!!...wahaha...
AJ: watch me. I'm gonna get the biggest slice.
AJ: actually it's mama's birthday cake...I'm practising my cutting for my upcoming birthday
AJ can't wait to try it himself.
yummy yummy...i like it

Thanks Lik Jian for the lovely cake & photos. Really appreciate it and Happy belated birthday to me myself. Yes, I'm getting wiser hehe...not older.

Still, I have lots of things to write but i’ll save up to the next few posts. They are those no one ever knows. Including both my family! Till then.

回娘家

I have the bestest kindest loveable parents-in-law. Know why? Cute ma know that I looonged to go back to Apollo's home for a few days so she specifically said that I can 回娘家 (aka go back to a married woman's parent's home) for a few days while hubby off to Kuching for an interview today.

I've only packed a few days clothes but my in-law's house is not far away and I could just go back again when I needed more. As some of you may be aware, the moment I reach to Apollo's house, I went to the fridge sraight away - to get a big mug of ice-cream Cremo's coconut my favorite to cool myself down from the extremely hot evening. \grin Ice-cream is always the best food comforter regardless of the weather. Might not on cold days. I always find it satisfying and making my mood happy after having it. But eat with care. Very very very fatty.

I can already imagine when AJ got older later, he will do the same thing as well. He would go screaming excitedly "Are we at granpa's house yet?" "How far is it?" Why so long?" "Then he would go "Are we going to granpa's tomorrow?. I wanna go" the moment we leave the house. LOL

Well, the most important thing of all is to be able to eat mom's nicest food. I miss every bit of it the moment I finished my secondary education left home to further study, found love and now having my own family. T.T Enjoying every single moment! Can you believe that my mom woke up every 5 ish in the morning to cook rice and oriental dishes for breakfast for my brother and sister before they go to school? A healthy meal for all before she goes to work and comes back to cook dinner after work or after aerobic. Her work never finishes. To be able to work and caring the family at the same time is a very challenging job. My biggest idol! Apollo also for supporting me to be me today. I'm so proud of you two. Love you lotsa lotsa. muacks!!! Soo nice, isn't it? I will aim to do the same thing to AJ plus any future children (if any).

But anyway, the another good thing is I am lucky to have such a good & sporting in-laws flexible enough to allow me to go back to my parent's house for a few days. Eh, to be clear with you guys first, I didn't have any arguments with my in-laws leaving me to go back to my parent's home. It's a casual visit. CASUAL VISITS!!! Cute ma and ah bui missed AJ so much that they called me for 3 times already only a few hours I arrived here. Furthermore, AJ was feeling not well so they are EXTREMELY very worried. Nowadays, AJ is the biggest boss / king in both the Ling's and Lee's family.

Speaking of AJ, he has been feverish and extremely case of diarrhea since last night. I suspect it's due to his teething. He wasn't sucking to his dummy a lot this morning. He is really sleepy but his gum hurts soo much that he cried until he went asleep. poor him. I wanted to help but I don't know how I could help so I ended up carrying him for the past hour soothing him to sleep. He was still crying when he was half asleep. I hope he will be feeling better soon. Please pray with me guys so that AJ will be feeling better soon.

The 2.5 weeks holiday stroke job hunting in KL

Renown to everybody yes time indeed flies quick la time waits for no woman la it's true the 2.5 weeks gone pretty fast and I am not denying the fact that I am pretty upset to leave KL tomorrow but also excited to visit the place where I grew up meeting my families soon the slow mo laid back life in Sarikei.

So for the past 2.5 weeks, we went to quite a number of places and had lots of food. Went to Times Square to have our hair cut, the Curve to meet my ex-coursemates, Sunway Lagoon, pasar malam in SS2, Sungei Wang, Low Yat Plaza, Genting, Jusco & Tesco in Cheras. Not to forget, we've been eating a lot of foods and because we're not burning them effectively, we have gained a lot of weights in just 2 weeks. Pretty shocking, isn't it?

While we are hard at enjoying ourselves here, I myself am also hard at hunting for jobs. I have been to interviews but still awaiting for responses. Why is it so hard to look for a position that I really want? Is it because I don't shine enough? Or am I requesting too much? or is it because I look ugly doesn't look like the person as mentioned in my CV?

I am pretty down now. Probably it's because I couldn't secure a job. I feel like I want to bump me head to the wall with the strongest moment and fell down and get to sleep or punching into the mirror breaking the mirror into pieces but I don't dare to do that as I don't want to end up with bandages then screaming for pain then having people looking pity at me then interviewers seeing me weird with the bandages wondering like I went to clubbing then got into fight with another pretty sexy lady trying to flirting with a handsome guy or I hurt myself by falling down the stairs or when I scold AJ with the cloth hanger or a belt =.= Ceh...sounds like I am an evil mother. Ridiculous!!!

I know it's just matter of time. I have to be patient and wait and see. I must wait!!!! NO MATTER WHAT!

Patience....

Patience...

Patience..

until when????? Sampai bila? 到什么时候? aiseh...my Chinese is still looking good. easy la...using malay --> english --> chinese translation on the web la...so freaking easy...haha...

haha...I'm good good....honestly. I am just being the usual complainant. I will be optimisic and I know the best has yet to come. Enjoying the long holiday and the food in Malaysia like I never had it before...Woohoo!!!

Anyway, I'm glad to meet you guys (in no particular order):
- Ong Chen Hui
- Alice
- Mr. Wong
- Chieng Heng Bing
- James Ho
- Pearl
- Lee Siah
- Rosverny Choo
- Brandon Choi
- Jason Lim
- Jaren Chia
- Ah Pong
- Trish
- Brandon Lim
- Felicia Chin
- Banned Ling
- Evonne Kong
- Brenda Leong
- Rudolf Ronald

Those I haven't met, don't be upset. I'm sure we'll meet again. I see you when I see you. Muacks...

Sarawak, here I come! Can't wait to have the Hiek Lik's kam pua, Ah Zheng's son's cha mien, Sarawak laksa and most of all, my dad's free ice cream. yum yum...we may be going to Sibu meeting my schoolfriend's son and to Kuching meeting some of my few friends over there. It's gonna be good to meet our families and friends soon....

We're still not sure where to settle down yet. Still deciding either KL / Sarawak. I know time will tell. Time will tell...and will update you guys when we have reach to our decision.

ok...back to the FB MindJolt Bubble Spinner / Sims 3

The Bubble Spinner

The north-east-south-west blowing wind has surprisingly influencing us 4 lately including me being the most lousy player of any whatsoever game to play the facebook Bubble Spinner game. It started with Alice being the top champion then Mr Wong ages ago. As we're on holiday in KL at the moment and job hunting, hubby passed his overly long free time playing the bubble spinner.

After so many uncountable attempts & failures, he finally succeeded in being the top among our friends. and Alice felt being challenged pantang dicabar wor so she played the bubble spinner whenever she has her hands on the computer ignoring her usualself daily routine playing her second life in the Sims3. Still trying to beat her beloved brother highest score. LOL....

Bubble spinner - a bubble shooter with a fun twist works with the same concept as the tetris game. The goal is to prevent the balls reaching to the walls around it and the balls will be removed if 3 or more same colored balls are grouped together. Depending on the force from where you shoot the ball, the bubble spinner will be twisted either clockwise or anti-clockwise so that you can work around with the colors. You score points based on the number of balls you removed. Very interesting, aint it?

I wasn't interested until I tried it myself and I am myself is sort of addicted already even only on the first few attempts. You would go eeeeekkk screaming noooo when it's going to hit the wall or go oppps if your hit missed. haha

My current score is 274 currently which I consider good on the second attempt. and guess what, I have already beat one of my friend's score. teeheee..if you haven't try it before, you should give it a go...

Behold, everyone. I'm gonna catchup with you guys soon. Sooon.......I mean it so hard that I will play it every minute everyday 247 regardless how busy I right at the moment my eyes are open and before my eyes closes for at least 8 hours. as if I thaaaaattttttt free.... =.=

Meet the King of Fruits

It has been a while (loooooonnngggg time) since we last went to pasar malam (aka the night food festival). I guess it was about 7-8 years ago. We visited pasar malam yesterday at SS2 and the place was soooo crowded. They sell almost anything, food, jewelleries, bags, cakes and so forth at a bargained prices.

Of course, the guys didn't waste any time in getting their hands dirty on the king of fruits, Durian.

According to them, they bought the D24 durian aka the bestest Durian - from Pahang. Unlucky me didn't really enjoy the Durian or else I will be enjoying them myself too....wahaha.....not sure why but I would vomit whenever I taste it. Now the whole car, room and everyone's mouth except AJ and me are full of Durian smell. The smell gonna lasts for days I bet. Even chewing gum won't help. =.=

On a completeeely unrelated note, ever wonder how my beloved sis-in-law, Alice and Mr Wong sleep? Here's the answer of your puzzle.
